Wondress Hutchinson
Wondress Hutchinson (June 20, 1964 – May 1, 2021), better known mononymously as Wondress, was an American electronic dance music and jazz fusion singer who worked with the old school hip hop/electro funk group Mantronix. Hutchinson sang lead vocals on Mantronix UK Top 10 hits, "Got to Have Your Love" and "Take Your Time" (taken from the 1990 album ''This Should Move Ya''). In 1995, Hutchinson sang background vocals for jazz fusion group, Spyro Gyra (1995 album '' Love and Other Obsessions''). Mononymous Person
A mononym is a name composed of only one word. An individual who is known and addressed by a mononym is a mononymous person. In some cases, a mononym selected by an individual may have originally been from a polynym, a word which refers to one of many names for a person or an object. In other cases, it has been determined by the custom of the land or by some interested segment. DJ Spen
Sean Spencer (born October 13, 1968), better known by his stage name DJ Spen or Spen, is an American DJ, record producer, and record executive. Music career Spencer got his start, at the age of 13, as a local DJ in Baltimore, Maryland, making mix tapes for local radio shows and playing parties. In 1983, Spencer started the hip hop group Numarx with Kevin Liles, Rodney "Kool Rod" Holloman, Darryl "Junie Jams" Mims, and Wayne Mallory. With Kool Rod and Junie Jams as the MCs, the group performed around Baltimore and the surrounding areas and opened for acts such as LL Cool J and Run-DMC. Numarx released the song "Buss It" on KMA Records in 1984. Later Spencer, Liles, and Holloman (along with Bill Pettaway and Ky Adeyemo) wrote "Girl You Know It's True", which became a popular hit in German nightclubs and was eventually heard by Milli Vanilli producer Frank Farian. Baltimore club, also called Bmore club, Bmore house or simply Bmore, is a fusion of breakbeat and house genres. It is often referred to as a blend of hip hop and chopped, staccato house music. It was created in Baltimore, Maryland, United States in the early 1990s by 2 Live Crew's Luther Campbell, Frank Ski, Miss Tony (known as Big Tony after he stopped presenting in drag), Scottie B. and DJ Spen. Baltimore club is based on an 8/4 beat structure, and includes tempos around 130 beats per minute. It combines repetitive, looped vocal snippets similar to trap, bounce, ghetto house and ghettotech.
