Annemarie Wendl
Annemarie Wendl (26 December 1914, Trostberg, Upper Bavaria – 3 September 2006, Munich, Bavaria) was a German actress. Career Wendl was born into an upper-class family in Bavaria and began her training as an actress in Berlin at Lucie Höflich's seminar. Afterwards, she played classical roles on stage in Berlin, Bonn, Augsburg, Innsbruck, Munich, Bamberg and Ingolstadt. In her youth, she played "all sentimental characters", such as ''Faust's'' Gretchen and Emilia Galotti. Later she played character roles, such as Adelheid in ''Götz von Berlichingen'', Blanche DuBois in ''A Streetcar Named Desire'', Maria Stuart in the play by Schiller and the title role in Brecht's ''Mother Courage''. Her last theatrical works were ''The Widow in the Green Tree'' (1997) and ''Sanssouci'' in 2001. Wendl began working in film in 1961 and made more than 35 films and TV productions. Grabs is a municipality in the ''Wahlkreis'' (constituency) of Werdenberg in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. History Grabs is first mentioned in 841 as ''Quaravedes''. In 979 it was mentioned as ''Quadravedes'', then in 1235 as ''Grabdis'' and in 1253 as ''Graps''. Geography Grabs has an area, , of . Of this area, 50% is used for agricultural purposes, while 32.2% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 4.8% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (12.9%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes). The municipality is located in the Werdenberg ''Wahlkreis.'' Gummersbach (; ksh, Jummersbach) is a town in the States of Germany, state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, being the district seat of the Oberbergischer Kreis. It is located east of Cologne. History In 1109 Gummersbach was mentioned in official documents for the first time. The document in question concerned the lowering of the episcopal tax for the church in Gummersbach by Archbishop Frederick I (Archbishop of Cologne), Frederick I. At that time the name of the town was spelled as ''Gumeresbracht''. Gummersbach received town privileges in 1857. In 1855 Gummersbach's industrial history began with the foundation of the company Steinmüller. With the company's success the little village began to grow to a town. After the company was bought in 1998 the production in Gummersbach was closed and most of the company's area was unused. It was produced in 1995 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the German television series Lindenstraße, and stars many cast members of that show. Plot The ARD television series ''Lindenstraße'' is about to be cancelled after its ten-year run. Obsessive ''Lindenstraße'' fan and head computer programmer of the GEZ, Detlef Hase (portrayed by Herbert Feuerstein) is distraught. He enters the production studio of the show posing as a tourist, sneaks backstage, and kidnaps the actress Marie-Luise Marjan (playing herself) at gunpoint. He calls her 'Helga' or 'Frau Beimer', her ''Lindenstraße'' stage-name, and is infatuated with her. He takes her to an unoccupied castle which belongs to a distant relative of his, and forces her to record a video stating that unless the show ''Lindenstraße'' is renewed, the record of all GEZ TV-licenses will be deleted. ...
