Witold Szabłowski
Witold Szabłowski () (born 1980, in Ostrów Mazowiecka) is a Polish journalist and author. Biography Witold Szablowski was born in Ostrów Mazowiecka. He graduated from the Department of Journalism and Political Science at Warsaw University. Additionally, he pursued studies in political science in Istanbul. While working as an intern at CNN Türk, he traveled throughout Turkey. He initiated his journalistic career with TVN24, one of Poland's premier news channels. In 2006, he began working for ”Gazeta Wyborcza” and its weekly supplement “ Duży Format”, becoming the youngest reporter on its team. He remained there until 2016. Since 2018, he has been affiliated with "Dzień dobry TVN," a Polish morning show broadcast. Starting from April 2019, he has hosted his radio show about traveling on Newonce Radio. The Angelus Central European Literature Award also known as Angelus Award (Polish: ''Nagroda Literacka Europy Środkowej Angelus'') is a Polish international literary award established in 2006 and presented by the city of Wrocław, Lower Silesia. Dzvinka Matiyash (Ukrainian: Дзвінка Валентинівна Матіяш; born 1978) is a Ukrainian prose writer, children's author, poet and translator. Early life and education Dzvinka Matiyash was born on November 16, 1978, in Kyiv. One of her sisters is the poet Bohdana Matiyash. From 1995 to 2002 she studied literature at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, then continued her education with postgraduate studies at the European Collegium of Polish and Ukrainian Universities (2002–2006) in Lublin, Poland. Antonia Lloyd-Jones (born 1962) is a British translator of Polish literature based in London. She is best known as the long-time translator of Olga Tokarczuk's works in English, including ''Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead'' which was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize in 2019. Ryszard Kapuściński
Ryszard Kapuściński (; 4 March 1932 – 23 January 2007) was a Polish journalist, photographer, poet and author. He received many awards and was considered a candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Kapuściński's personal journals in book form attracted both controversy and admiration for blurring the conventions of reportage with the allegory and magical realism of literature. He was the Communist-era Polish Press Agency's only correspondent in Africa during decolonization, and also worked in South America and Asia. Between 1956 and 1981 he reported on 27 revolutions and coups, until he was fired because of his support for the pro-democracy Solidarity movement in his native country. He was celebrated by other practitioners of the genre.
