State Trunk Highway 31 (often called Highway 31, STH-31 or WIS 31) is a state highway in Kenosha and Racine counties in the US state of Wisconsin that runs north–south as a suburban route passing Racine and Kenosha. With the exception of a stretch between Four Mile Road and WIS 32 at the north end, WIS 31 is a multi-lane urban highway. An expansion of the remaining was proposed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). Route description WIS 31 begins at the Illinois state line where it connects to Illinois Route 131 (IL 131), following Green Bay Road to its junction through Pleasant Prairie. Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Pleasant Prairie is a village in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Located in Kenosha County along the southwestern shoreline of Lake Michigan, Pleasant Prairie was home to 21,250 people at the 2020 census. The village is positioned directly south of the city of Kenosha and directly north of the Illinois border. Although located just 37 miles south of Milwaukee, it is part of the United States Census Bureau's Chicago combined statistical area (CSA) and metropolitan statistical area despite being 57 miles north of that city. Among its notable features are the RecPlex and Chiwaukee Prairie. History The Pleasant Prairie area was the center of Native American activity in pre-pioneer Wisconsin. State Trunk Highway 50 (often called Highway 50, STH-50 or WIS 50) is a state highway in Walworth and Kenosha counties in Wisconsin, United States, that runs from Wisconsin Highway 11 (WIS 11) in Delavan east to Wisconsin Highway 32 (WIS 32) in Kenosha. The highway is maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Route description Highway 50 begins at an intersection with Highway 11 in Delavan. The highway crosses Wisconsin and Southern Railroad tracks and heads east to a junction with Interstate 43 at Exit 21. Caledonia is a village in Racine County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 25,361 at the 2020 census. The residential community of Franksville is located within the village. State Trunk Highway 38 (often called Highway 38, STH-38 or WIS 38) is a state highway in Racine and Milwaukee counties in the US state of Wisconsin that is a north–south route from downtown Racine in the south to downtown Milwaukee in the north. Route description In Racine County, WIS 38 begins near the lake front at the corner of Main Street (also known as Wisconsin Highway 32) and State Street in Racine. WIS 38 turns to the northwest at the intersection of State and Memorial Drive, becoming Northwestern Avenue. Just outside the town of Franksville, WIS 38 turns north until it reaches County Trunk Highway G at Six Mile Road. Turning west, it cuts over to Howell Avenue near Husher. State Trunk Highway 20 (often called Highway 20, STH-20 or WIS 20) is a state highway in Walworth and Racine counties in southeastern Wisconsin, United States. The route is a short connector that bridges the city of Whitewater and points west via U.S. Highway 12 (US 12) with East Troy, Waterford and Racine. WIS 20 is a two-lane surface road with various four-lane roads within cities. Route description WIS 20 begins at the junction of US 12 and WIS 67 and proceeds east, going south around a junction with County Trunk Highway J (CTH-J) east of the terminus and bypassing the small community of Troy Center. The highway connects Dubuque, Iowa with the cities of Janesville, Racine and Elkhorn. The University of Wisconsin–Parkside (UWP) is a public university in Somers, Wisconsin. It is part of the University of Wisconsin System and has 4,644 students, 161 full-time faculty, and 89 lecturers and part-time faculty. State Trunk Highway 158 (often called Highway 158, STH-158 or WIS 158) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It runs east–west as a suburban-to-urban route, connecting I-94 with downtown Kenosha. Highway 158 is known as 52nd Street for its entire length. The city of Kenosha uses a numbering system for its streets and avenues, numbering streets in ascending order from the Racine County line to the Illinois state line. History 52nd Street in Kenosha was designated as Highway 158 in 1958, at about the same time that American Motors began selling cars after the merger of Nash Motors and Hudson Motors.
