Winfried Glatzeder
Winfried Glatzeder (born 26 April 1945) is a German television actor and playwright. He began his acting career in East Germany in the 1960s. In the early 1970s, he made his breakthrough by starring in films such as '' Zeit der Störche'' and '' The Legend of Paul and Paula''. From 1996 to 1998, Glatzeder played the role of Commissioner Ernst Roiter in the television series ''Tatort''. Since then, he has mainly worked in theatre and television. Biography Childhood and education Winfried Glatzeder is an only child. His mother was of Jewish descent, and she hid her grandmother during the Nazi period to keep her from being deported. Glatzeder's parents were married in 1942, and his father died in 1944 in Soviet captivity. His mother did not follow the order announced on 19 March 1945 that civilians should evacuate Sopot, so his birth took place in the liberated area. Berlin International Film Festival
The Berlin International Film Festival (german: Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), usually called the Berlinale (), is a major international film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1951 and originally run in June, the festival has been held every February since 1978 and is one of the " Big Three" alongside the Venice Film Festival in Italy and the Cannes Film Festival in France. Tens of thousands of visitors attend each year. About 400 films are shown at multiple venues across Berlin, mostly in and around Potsdamer Platz. They are screened in nine sections across cinematic genres, with around twenty films competing for the festival's top awards in the Competition section. Angelica Domröse
Angelica Domröse (; born April 4, 1941, in Berlin) is a German actress, who became famous in the role of Paula in Heiner Carow's film ''The Legend of Paul and Paula''. Her Mediterranean appearance is the result of her biological father being a prisoner of war from France. Life After training as a shorthand typist Domröse worked in a state-run foreign trade enterprise in East Germany. In 1958 she was discovered by the director Slatan Dudow and in 1961 attended the film university Potsdam-Babelsberg. In 1966 she joined the Berliner Ensemble, where among other things she performed in Brecht's '' Dreigroschenoper'', '' Schwejk im zweiten Weltkrieg'' and '' Die Tage der Commune'', as well as in Helmut Baierl's '' Frau Flinz''. Gojko Mitić
Gojko Mitić ( sr-Cyrl, Гојко Митић; born June 13, 1940) is a German-Serbian actor and director. He gained great popularity in the GDR as the leading actor in historical and fictional Indian personalities in numerous DEFA Indian films. His popularity may be recognizable from the fact that both in the GDR and later in the Federal Republic of Germany attempts were made to attach labels to him: "DEFA bosses" on the one hand, "Winnetou of the East" on the other. However, Gojko Mitić never portrayed the latter role in a film (although he did later at the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg). This Winnetou formulation refers more to the popularity of Gojko Mitić compared to the actor of the role from the West, the Frenchman Pierre Brice.
