WinCo Foods Portland Open
The WinCo Foods Portland Open was a golf tournament in Oregon on the Korn Ferry Tour. It debuted in August 2014 at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, a suburb northwest of Portland. Northwest-based supermarket chain WinCo Foods was named as the title sponsor in June 2013. After a seven-year run, the tournament was removed from the Korn Ferry Tour schedule in 2021 due to WinCo Foods ending its title sponsorship. With the exception of 2020 (when the season was altered due to the COVID-19 pandemic), the Portland Open was always the last regular-season event on the Korn Ferry Tour. Played on the Witch Hollow course, the tournament gave players one last chance to place in the top 25 on the money list to earn a PGA Tour card or play their way into the top 75 to retain full Korn Ferry Tour privileges and earn a chance at a PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry Tour Finals. North Plains, Oregon
North Plains is a city in Washington County, Oregon, United States, off U.S. 26 on the northwest outskirts of the Portland metropolitan area. The population was 3,441 at the 2020 census. History Pioneer settlers first arrived in the North Plains area in the 1840s. The area to be known as the city of North Plains was platted in September 1910 by the Ruth Trust Company of Portland. They purchased area tracts after James J. Hill planned to extend United Railways there. On June 25, 1963, North Plains voted 90 to 56 to incorporate as a city; at the time the population was around 500. Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club is just outside town. David Duval won the Nike Tour Championship there in 1993, and it was home to the U.S. Women's Open in 1997 and 2003. Paul Barjon
Paul Barjon (born 19 September 1992) is a French professional golfer, who won the 2019 PGA Tour Canada Order of Merit. Early life and amateur career Barjon was born in Bordeaux, France to parents Alain and Marie. However, he grew up in New Caledonia, a French territory in the Pacific. He has a brother named Louis. As a youth, he won the 2009 New Caledonia Amateur Championship, 2010 Grand Prix of Baron, and 2011 French Club Team Championship. He attended high school at Lycée Polyvalent in Antibes, France. Ben Silverman (golfer)
Ben Silverman (born November 15, 1987) is a Canadian professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. In 2017 he won the Price Cutter Charity Championship. Early and personal life Silverman was born in Thornhill, Ontario, in Canada, to Howard and Maureen Silverman, and is Jewish. He played golf at Vaughan Secondary School in Vaughan, Ontario. Silverman attended Johnson & Wales University in Florida for two years, and then Florida Atlantic University, where Silverman obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2010. He was a walk-on on the golf teams of both schools. Silverman lives in West Palm Beach, Florida. He and his wife, Morgan, have one son. Professional career Silverman turned pro in 2010. Samuel Richard Ryder (born December 15, 1989) is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Ryder was born in Winter Park, Florida and attended Stetson University, where he studied finance. Abraham Ancer
Abraham Ancer (; born 27 February 1991) is a Mexican-American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and is currently playing on the LIV Golf tour. He won the 2018 Emirates Australian Open and the 2021 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational for his first PGA Tour career victory. Brice Patrick Garnett (born September 6, 1983) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. After attending Missouri Western State University, where he was a three-time NCAA Division II All-American, Garnett turned pro in 2006. He played on the Adams Pro Tour from 2007 to 2009. Im Sung-jae ( ko, 임성재; born 30 March 1998), also known as Sungjae Im, is a South Korean professional golfer. Im won twice and was Player of the Year on the 2018 Web.com Tour. 2019 Korn Ferry Tour
The 2019 Korn Ferry Tour was the 30th season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf. The season began under the Web.com Tour name but changed in June to the Korn Ferry Tour. The season ran from January 13 to September 2 and consists of 27 official money tournaments, four of them played outside of the United States.
