Ben Silverman (golfer)
Ben Silverman (born November 15, 1987) is a Canadian professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. In 2017 he won the Price Cutter Charity Championship. Early and personal life Silverman was born in Thornhill, Ontario, in Canada, to Howard and Maureen Silverman, and is Jewish. He played golf at Vaughan Secondary School in Vaughan, Ontario. Silverman attended Johnson & Wales University in Florida for two years, and then Florida Atlantic University, where Silverman obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2010. He was a walk-on on the golf teams of both schools. Silverman lives in West Palm Beach, Florida. He and his wife, Morgan, have one son. Professional career Silverman turned pro in 2010. He joined the PGA Tour Canada in 2014. Thornhill, Ontario
Thornhill is a suburban district in the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada, split between the City of Vaughan (its western portion) and the City of Markham (its eastern portion), with Yonge Street forming the municipal boundary. Talor Keith Gooch (born November 14, 1991) is an American professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Gooch was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He played college golf at Oklahoma State University. He was already drawing notice for his talent as a six-year-old. His father, Ron Gooch, played minor league professional baseball in the Texas Rangers organization. Professional career Gooch played on the PGA Tour Canada in 2015 and 2016. Aruba Cup
The Aruba Cup was an annual team golf competition between teams representing PGA Tour Latinoamérica and PGA Tour Canada. It was founded in 2016 and took place in December. The 2016 and 2017 events were held at the Tierra del Sol Resort, Spa & Country Club near Noord, Aruba. In 2018 the event was played at Cozumel Country Club on the island of Cozumel in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula and was called the Cozumel Cup. Format The teams consisted of 10 golfers from each tour. The tournament was played over three days with 5 fourball matches on the first day, 5 foursomes on the second day and 10 singles matches on the final day. The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious.
