Wimbledon Hockey Club
Wimbledon Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in Wimbledon, London, England. It was established in 1883 and fields nine men's sides, seven ladies' sides as well as a comprehensive junior section. The men's 1st XI play in the Men's England Hockey League and the ladies 1st XI play in the Women's England Hockey League. The club's home ground is a water based AstroTurf located at Raynes Park High School, which was built in conjunction with the school in 2019. Its clubhouse is that of the multi-sports club 'The Wimbledon Club' on Church Road, Wimbledon. Raynes Park High School
Raynes Park High School is a co-educational comprehensive school which educates students aged 11 to 19. It is located in Raynes Park, England, coming under the London Borough of Merton. Nicola "Nicki" or "Nicky" Cochrane (born 8 December 1993) in Glasgow, Scotland is a Scottish international field hockey player who plays as a goalkeeper for Scotland and Great Britain. Simon Mantell
Simon Douglas Mantell (born 24 April 1984) is an English field hockey forward. He is the younger brother of Richard Mantell. Mantell currently plays for Exeter University Hockey Club. Mantell made his international senior debut for the national squad on 9 November 2005 versus Ireland at Beeston. He was a member of the England squad that finished fifth at the 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup. He competed at the 2010 and 2011 Champions Trophy, and was also part of the winning squad at the 2009 EuroHockey Championship. Mantell has also represented Great Britain and was part of the side that returned victorious from the Olympic qualifying event in Chile, as well as competing at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Iain Lewers
Iain Lewers (born 5 January 1984) is a field hockey player from Northern Ireland who represented Ireland, England and Great Britain at international level. He represented Great Britain at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. He was also a member the England teams that won bronze medals at the 2011 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship and 2014 Commonwealth Games. Benjamin Robert Hawes (born 28 July 1980) is a former English field hockey player, a 3x Olympian who played for the English and the British national team in midfield or as a halfback. Hawes competed for England and Great Britain at numerous tournaments, and has represented Great Britain in Field hockey at the 2004, 2008 (as captain) and 2012 Summer Olympics. David Condon
David A. Condon (born February 9, 1974) is an American politician who served as the mayor of Spokane, Washington from 2011 to 2019. Prior to his election as mayor, Condon was the deputy chief of staff for U.S. Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers. A Spokane native, Condon graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory School in 1992 and then enrolled at Boston College, where he received a B.A. degree in Finance and Military Science. He immediately entered the U.S. Army where he rose to the rank of captain. He retired from military service in 2005, briefly working in small business before being hired by McMorris Rodgers. He rose to become her deputy chief of staff. In May 2011, Condon announced he would challenge incumbent Spokane mayor Mary Verner in that year's mayoral election. Though he claimed to have a positive working relationship with Verner, he disagreed with her policies regarding taxation, vehicle registration and criminal justice. Alastair Brogdon
Alastair Richard "Ali" Brogdon (born 10 November 1987) is a British and English field hockey player who competed at 2016 Rio Olympics for Team GB. Brogdon made his international debut in 2006 and received his 100th England cap against Argentina at the 2014 Champions Trophy. He was part of the 2009 gold medal winning England side at the EuroHockey Championships. He competed for England in the men's hockey tournament at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a bronze medal. Richard Ian M. Alexander (born 15 September 1981 in Homersfield, Suffolk), nicknamed "Ratman", is an English field hockey player. The 2015–2016 English Hockey League season took place from September 2015 until April 2016. The regular season consisted of two periods September until December and then February until March. The end of season playoffs known as the League Finals Weekend was held on the 16 & 17 of April. Wimbledon won the Men's Premier League title despite finishing fourth in the regular season league standings.
