Wilton is a census-designated place (CDP) and the main village in the town of Wilton, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States. The CDP extends east into the town of Milford as well. The population of the CDP was 1,324 at the 2020 census, up from 1,163 at the 2010 census. Geography The CDP occupies the northeast part of the town of Wilton, along the Souhegan River where it is joined from the northwest by Stony Brook. It extends west out Sand Hill Road as far as Holt Road and is bordered to the north in Wilton by Curtis Farm Road, Dale Street, and Pead Hill Road. The CDP extends east into the northwest corner of the town of Milford, where it is bordered to the north by the town of Lyndeborough and to the south by the Souhegan River. It extends east as far as the former bridge across the Souhegan near Jones Road. The United States census of 2020 was the twenty-fourth decennial United States census. Census Day, the reference day used for the census, was April 1, 2020. Greenville is a census-designated place (CDP) and the main village in the town of Greenville in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States. Greenfield is a town in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 1,716 at the 2020 census. Greenfield is home to the Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center, to Greenfield State Park, and to part of the Wapack Trail. History Originally known as " Lyndeborough Addition", the area was first settled by the Lynde family in 1753. Bedford is a town in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 23,322, reflecting a growth of 10% from 2010. Bedford is a suburb of Manchester, New Hampshire's largest city. Lyndeborough, New Hampshire
Lyndeborough is a town in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 1,702 at the 2020 census. History Originally granted by the Massachusetts General Court to veterans from Salem, Massachusetts, of New England's first war with Canada, the area was known as "Salem-Canada". John Cram and his family were the first settlers and established a sawmill in the community in 1736. The name "Lyndeborough" resulted from a re-grant to a group of people that included Benjamin Lynde, who later became Chief Justice of Massachusetts. This group of proprietors never lived in Lyndeborough and may never have visited the community.
