Willy Reisvang
Willy Reisvang (23 May 1923 – 17 February 2001) was a Norwegian sports official. He chaired the club Oslo SK from 1958 to 1962, 1963 to 1966 and 1972 to 1976. From 1966 to 1969 he was the president of the Norwegian Skating Association. He was a board member of the Norwegian Olympic Committee from 1968 to 1984, and also chairman of the Norwegian Skating Museum, which has been called his "life work". Oslo SK
Oslo Skøiteklub (OSK) is a sports club in Oslo. Its home arena is Frogner Stadion. The club has departments for speed skating and figure skating. Establishment Christiania Skøiteklub - later Kristiania Skøiteklub (KSK) - was founded 18 February 1864. The formation of the club was a spin-off from a skating competition on fjord ice in the Oslo Fjord 1 March 1863. The skating sport was quite popular at the time, and the club had about 1000 members after two years, and more than 5000 members in 1870, when Christiania had less than 70000 inhabitants. In 1924 the club changed its name to Oslo Skøiteklub. Arena The first skating activities were done on sea ice, outside Vippetangen or in Frognerkilen. Also Tullinløkken and the Majorstuen stadium were used for skating competitions and performances. Norwegian Skating Association
The Norwegian Skating Association ( no, Norges Skøyteforbund, NSF) is the main skating authoritative body in Norway. It oversees speed skating, figure skating, short track speed skating on ice, and more recently inline and roller skating. The Norwegian Skating Association was founded on 27 February 1893 and currently has about 7,000 members. It is a member of the Norwegian Olympic Committee and Confederation of Sports, the International Skating Union (ISU), and Federation International de Roller Skating (FIRS). The NSA publishes a magazine named ''Skøytesport''. The Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports ( no, Norges idrettsforbund og olympiske og paralympiske komité; NIF) is the umbrella organization for sport in Norway. The King's Medal Of Merit
The King's Medal of Merit (Norwegian: ''Kongens fortjenstmedalje'') is a Norway, Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service. It is divided in two classes: gold and silver. The medal in gold is rewarded for extraordinary achievements of importance to the nation and society. The medal in silver may be awarded for lesser achievements. The medal is suspended from a ribbon in the colours of the Royal Standard of Norway. The medal in gold is ranked eighth in the ranking of Norwegian orders and medals. Roald is a village in Giske Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located on the northern part of the island Vigra. Olaf Poulsen (27 July 1920 – 27 September 2008) was a Norwegian sports official, best known for serving as the president of the International Skating Union from 1980 to 1994.
