Willy Puchner
Willy Puchner (born 15 March 1952) is an Austrian photographer, artist, painter and author. Life Puchner was born and grew up in Mistelbach an der Zaya, Lower Austria, where his parents owned a photo studio. In 1967, he moved to Vienna to attend photography classes at the Höhere Graphische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt (Vienna Federal Training and Research Institute of Graphic Arts). After graduation in 1974, he taught photography there for two years. Since 1978, Puchner works as a freelance photographer and writer based in Vienna. In 1983, he started to study philosophy, history and sociology. Puchner finished his studies in 1988 with a master's degree in philosophy. His thesis was "Über private Fotografie" (On Private Photography). Since 1988, he gave numerous speeches "On Private Photography" at universities, museums and galleries. Marco Polo (, , ; 8 January 1324) was an Italian merchant, explorer and writer from the Republic of Venice who travelled through Asia along the Silk Road between 1271 and 1295. The ''Corriere della Sera'' (; en, "Evening Courier") is an Italian daily newspaper published in Milan with an average daily circulation of 410,242 copies in December 2015. First published on 5 March 1876, ''Corriere della Sera'' is one of Italy's oldest newspapers and is Italy's most read newspaper. Its masthead has remained unchanged since its first edition in 1876. It reached a circulation of over 1 million under editor and co-owner Luigi Albertini, between 1900 and 1925. ''Stern'' (, German for "Star") is an illustrated, broadly left-liberal, weekly current affairs magazine published in Hamburg, Germany, by Gruner + Jahr, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann. Under the editorship (1948–1980) of its founder Henri Nannen, it attained a circulation of between 1.5 and 1.8 million, the largest in Europe's for a magazine of its kind. ''konkret'' has been the name of two German magazines. ''konkret'' was originally the name of a magazine established by Klaus Rainer Röhl in 1957, that was an influential magazine on the German political left in the 1960s. The magazine was dissolved in 1973 as a consequence of Röhl's rejection of the leftist terrorism in Germany (in which his former wife Ulrike Meinhof took active part). Since 1974, Hermann L. Gremliza has published a monthly magazine with the same name, self-described as a "magazine for politics and culture". Heinrich Pfusterschmid-Hardtenstein (*16 January 1927, Graz, Styria) is a former Austrian diplomat, who has also been active in the academic world and cultural policy. Biography After attending elementary and secondary school (1934–45) Heinrich Pfusterschmid-Hardtenstein studied law at the University of Graz. Following graduation as doctor of law he practiced at courts and legal firms in his home town. In 1952 Pfusterschmid-Hardtenstein became secretary of the European Youth Campaign of the European Movement and later as a Fulbright scholar - Fulbright Program - studied economics at the University of California at Berkeley (1954/55). In 1956 he entered the Austrian diplomatic service and was appointed to the embassy in The Hague as attaché. Erich Hackl (born 26 May 1954 in Steyr, Upper Austria) is an Austrian novelist and short story writer. His works have been translated into English, Spanish, French, Czech and Hebrew though he is significantly better known in the German-speaking world. Many of his works, notably ''Sara und Simón'', bear resemblance to Latin-American testimonial literature, and as such have been the focus of scholarly research by Latin Americanists.
