Willy Bascuñán
Guillermo "Willy" Alfonso Bascuñán Dockendorff (born 19 November 1942, in Viña del Mar), is a Chilean composer and actor. He is the only composer who has obtained both the first place in the folkloric and international competitions in the same edition of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival. In 2016, he was recognized as one of the "fundamental figures of Chilean music" by the Chilean Society of Copyright. Biography In the 1960s, along with Patricio Manns, Luis Urquidi, Violeta Parra, Isabel Parra, Ángel Parra, and Víctor Jara, he was one of the pioneers of the Chilean neo-folklore. He composed many hits, such as "El solitaire", "El ovejero", "Cachimbo alegre" and "El maco Amengual", among others. Viña Del Mar
Viña del Mar (; meaning "Vineyard of the Sea") is a city and commune on central Chile's Pacific coast. Often referred to as ("The Garden City"), Viña del Mar is located within the Valparaíso Region, and it is Chile's fourth largest city with a population of 324,836 (according to the 2008 census). Indictment And Arrest Of Augusto Pinochet
General Augusto Pinochet was indicted for human rights violations committed in his native Chile by Spanish magistrate Baltasar Garzón on 10 October 1998. He was arrested in London six days later and held on house arrest for a year and a half before being released by the British government in March 2000. Authorised to return to Chile, Pinochet was subsequently indicted by judge Juan Guzmán Tapia and charged with several crimes. He died on 10 December 2006 without having been convicted. The 1988 Chilean national plebiscite was a national referendum held on 5 October 1988 to determine whether Chile's ''de facto'' leader, Augusto Pinochet, should extend his rule for another eight years through 1996. The "No" side won with nearly 56% of the vote, indicating the end of Pinochet's fifteen and a half years in power. After democratic elections in 1989, a new government took power in 1990. National Advance ( es, Avanzada Nacional, AN) was a Chilean far-right political party of nationalist ideology who supported the military regime led by Augusto Pinochet. They had party legal existence between January 1988 and July 1991. It was founded on 11 September 1983 by former members of Fatherland and Liberty and civilian supporters of the dictatorship. The party constitution was signed on April 15, 1987, the Electoral Service ordered his publication in the official Journal on 29 May 1987.
