William Wilson Simmons (1912 – October 11, 1997) was an IBM executive, who was Director of Strategic Planning for the IBM Corporation in the late 1960s. He is also known as one of the pioneers of applied futures studies in the private sector.. BIography Simmons had started at IBM as sales manager in the late 1940s.James W. The ''Savannah Morning News'' is a daily newspaper in Savannah, Georgia. It is published by Gannett. The motto of the paper is "Light of the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry". The paper serves Savannah, its metropolitan area, and parts of South Carolina. History William Tappan Thompson, author of the ''Major Jones'' series of humorous stories, along with John McKinney Cooper as publisher and owner, founded the paper on January 15, 1850 as the ''Daily Morning News''. International Business Machines (IBM), nicknamed "Big Blue", is a multinational computer technology and IT consulting corporation headquartered in Armonk, New York, United States. IBM originated from the unification of several companies that worked to automate routine business transactions, including the first companies to build punched card based data tabulating machines and to build time clocks. Historically there have been differences among investigators regarding the definition of organizational culture.
