William Reid Owen
William Reid Owen (25 November 1864 – 22 March 1949) was the 20th mayor of Vancouver, British Columbia in 1924. He was born in Ontario and moved to Vancouver in 1899. He became mayor after winning a narrow victory over Louis Taylor Louis Taylor (born May 12, 1979) is an American mixed martial artist currently competing in the welterweight division of the Professional Fighters League. The newspaper is currently published by the Pacific Newspaper Group, a division of Postmedia Network. The newspaper expanded in the early 20th century by acquiring other papers, such as the ''Daily News-Advertiser'' and ''The Evening World''.
