William R. Dunn (actor)
William R. Dunn (May 23, 1888 – March 24, 1946) was an American actor on film and stage and in vaudeville. Dunn was born in Astoria, Long Island, the son of William R. Dunn, a ferry captain, and Martha Wentz. He had two brothers, Eddie and Stanley, who were also actors. He graduated from public schools there. Dunn debuted as an actor in 1900 with the Corse Payton Stock Company in Brooklyn. He went on to perform in vaudeville. He appeared along Mary Maurice, Earle Williams, James Morrison, Robert Gaillard, Tefft Johnson, Ralph Ince and Wallace Reid in ''The Seventh Son'' (1912), directed by Hal Reid; and along Evelyn Nesbitt, Russell Thaw, Henry Clive, Alphonse Ethier Alphonse Ethier (December 10, 1874 – January 4, 1943) was an American film actor. Charles Kent (actor)
Charles Kent (18 June 1853 – 21 May 1923) was a British-American stage actor and silent film actor and director. He appeared in more than 140 films between 1908 and 1923. He also directed 36 films between 1908 and 1913. Personal life Kent was born on 18 June 1953 in London to Frederick Kent, an Englishman, and Martha Kent, a French woman, in 1853. It was an adaptation of the 1933 Broadway musical ''Roberta'', which in turn was based on the novel ''Gowns by Roberta'' by Alice Duer Miller. It was a solid hit, showing a net profit of more than three-quarters of a million dollars. The film kept the famous songs " Yesterdays", "Let's Begin" (with altered lyrics), and "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" from the play, along with a fourth song, "I'll Be Hard to Handle". Three songs from the play were dropped—"The Touch of Your Hand", "Something Had to Happen" and "You're Devastating".
