William Lorge
William D. "Bill" Lorge (born August 31, 1960) is an American real estate broker, farmer, and Republican politician. He served ten years in the Wisconsin State Assembly, and was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Wisconsin in 2002. Early life Born in Bear Creek, Wisconsin, Lorge graduated from Clintonville High School and then received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. The 40th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Waupaca County and much of the eastern half of Waushara County, as well as a part of western Outagamie County. Joseph S. "Joe" Leean (born March 10, 1942) is an American businessman and retired Republican politician. He served as Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services for seven years under Governor Tommy Thompson and was instrumental in the creation of BadgerCare, Wisconsin's state health insurance program. Leean subsequently worked as a consultant to Thompson after his appointment as United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. Earlier in his career, he served ten years in the Wisconsin State Senate, representing the 14th Senate district. Early life and career Leean was born in Iola, Wisconsin.
