William L. Mallory, Sr.
William Leslie Mallory Sr. (October 4, 1931 – December 10, 2013) was an American politician who was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1966 and served for 28 years in the Ohio legislature. In 1974 he won election as Majority Floor Leader, the first African American to serve in that role. When he retired in 1994, he was the longest serving majority leader in the history of Ohio. Mallory married his wife Fannie in 1955. Mark Mallory
Mark Mallory (born April 2, 1962) is an American politician who served as the 68th Mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio. A member of the Democratic Party, he was the first two-term Mayor under the City's new Stronger-Mayor system, the first directly elected African-American mayor, the third African-American mayor, and the first mayor in more than 70 years who did not come from City Council. Mallory works for FC Cincinnati as the Director of Community Development. Early life and education Mallory was born and raised in West End, Cincinnati. He graduated from the Cincinnati Academy of Math and Science and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Management from the University of Cincinnati. Dale Mallory
Dale Mallory (born November 2, 1964) is an American politician and former Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 32nd District from 2007 to 2014. Career Mallory formerly served as a Cincinnati West End Community Council President, but later he became embroiled in a local dispute over a development for the homeless that led to his ouster as head of the council. Mallory worked for General Electric as a manufacturing facilitator. He is also a precinct executive in the Hamilton County Democratic Party and a ward chairman. Central State University
Central State University (CSU) is a public, historically black land-grant university in Wilberforce, Ohio, United States. It is a member-school of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Established by the state legislature in 1887 as a two-year program for teacher and industrial training, it was originally located with Wilberforce University, a four-year institution devoted to classical academic education. It was originally known as the Combined Normal and Industrial Department. In 1941 the college gained a four-year curriculum, independent status in 1947, and was renamed as Central State College in 1951. With further development, it gained university status in 1965.
