William Amendoim
William das Graças Silva Júnior, better known as William Amendoim (born May 6, 1987, in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro), is a Brazilian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. Career William Amendoim is a talented midfielder brought up in the youth ranks of Flamengo, in one of the club's most successful generations of young players. He signed a 3-year professional contract in 2005. In April 2006 he signed a new 5-year deal. In May 2007 he added 0 more months to his contract to December 31, 2011. São Gonçalo () is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. It is on northeastern Guanabara Bay in the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Area. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The 2006 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was the 50th edition of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. It began on April 15, 2006, and reached its end on December 3, 2006.
