Tombense Futebol Clube, commonly referred to as Tombense, is a Brazilian professional club based in Tombos, Minas Gerais founded on 7 September 1914. History The club was founded on 7 September 1914. They won the Campeonato Mineiro Segunda Divisão in 2002 and in 2006. In 2014, the club was promoted to the third division after winning the fourth division. This was the club's first national title. 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B
The 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B (officially the Brasileirão SportingBet - Série B 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition began on 8 April and ended on 6 November. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2021 season, four promoted from the 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C (Criciúma, Ituano, Novorizontino and Tombense), and four relegated from the 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Bahia, Chapecoense, Grêmio and Sport). The top four teams were promoted to the 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Cruzeiro became the first club to be promoted on 21 September 2022 after a 3–0 win against Vasco da Gama. 2021 Campeonato Mineiro
The 2021 Campeonato Mineiro (officially Campeonato Mineiro SICOOB 2021 – Módulo I for sponsorship reasons) was the 107th edition of the state championship of Minas Gerais organized by the FMF. The competition began on 27 February and ended on 22 May 2021. Due to the worsening of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil, FMF suspended the Campeonato Mineiro between 22 and 31 March 2021. The tournament resumed on 1 April 2021. The defending champions Atlético Mineiro successfully defended their title winning their 46th Campeonato Mineiro. Rafael Silva Guanaes (born 27 March 1981) is a Brazilian football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current manager of Operário Ferroviário. Career Born in São Paulo, Guanaes played for Palmeiras, Corinthians and Nacional-SP as a youth. He also played for the Campbell University's soccer team during the 1999 and 2000 campaigns, Nacional and Joseense. Roger de Carvalho (born 10 December 1986), known as Roger Carvalho, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a central defender for Tombense. Biography Carvalho was signed by Iraty in January 2007. He signed a two-year contract with Iraty in November 2006 and was loaned to Rio Branco for 2007 Paraná state football championship. Campeonato Mineiro is the state football league of the state of Minas Gerais and is controlled by the Minas Gerais Football Federation FMF (Federação Mineira de Futebol).
