2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B
The 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B (officially the Brasileirão SportingBet - Série B 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition began on 8 April and ended on 6 November. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2021 season, four promoted from the 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C (Criciúma, Ituano, Novorizontino and Tombense), and four relegated from the 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Bahia, Chapecoense, Grêmio and Sport). The top four teams were promoted to the 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Cruzeiro became the first club to be promoted on 21 September 2022 after a 3–0 win against Vasco da Gama. Grêmio were promoted on 23 October 2022, and Bahia and Vasco da Gama were promoted on 6 November 2022. Campeonato Brasileiro Série B
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B is commonly referred to as the Brasileirão Série B (Série B), and until 2022 was officially called Brasileirão Sportingbet by sponsorship reasons. It is the second tier of the Brazilian football league system. Although not having been played annually since its founding in 1971, the competition format has changed almost every season. Vila Nova Futebol Clube, commonly referred to as Vila Nova, is a Brazilian professional club based in Goiânia, Goiás founded on 29 July 1943. Raniel Santana de Vasconcelos (born 11 June 1996), simply known as Raniel (), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for UAE Pro League club Khor Fakkan. Amazonas, Brusque, Operário Ferroviário and Paysandu were promoted to the 2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, while Altos, América de Natal, Manaus, and Pouso Alegre were relegated to the 2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D.
