Will Wolford
William Charles Wolford (born May 18, 1964) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for the Buffalo Bills, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Playing career Wolford attended St. Xavier High School in Louisville, Kentucky and played college football at Vanderbilt University. He was the Bills' first-round pick in the 1986 NFL Draft, and played for them from 1986 to 1992, including AFC championships (and Super Bowl losses) in his last three years in Buffalo. Wolford signed as a free agent with the Colts in 1993, and finally joined the Steelers from 1996 to 1998. He was named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster in 1990, 1992, and 1995. John Wolford
John Thomas Wolford (born October 16, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wake Forest and signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2018, and played for the Los Angeles Rams from 2019 to 2022. He has also played for the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football. Bob Valvano (born January 29, 1957) is a former college basketball coach and an American sportscaster based in Louisville, Kentucky. Television and coaching During the college-basketball season, he is the lead game analyst for ESPNRadio, and occasionally for ESPNU. When not doing those games, Valvano is the color analyst for University of Louisville men's basketball games on radio ( WHAS 840 and WKRD 790.) Valvano began his coaching career at Hofstra University where he was an assistant to head coach Dick Berg for three years. Then he took over the head coaching position at Division II Kutztown. Bob Lamey
Bob Lamey (born December 23, 1938) is an American sportscaster, formerly the radio play-by-play announcer for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. Lamey had been "The Voice of the Colts" since the team moved to Indianapolis in 1984, except from 1992-94, until his retirement in 2018. Lamey has previously served as radio voice of the NBA's Indiana Pacers (1977–84) and two defunct hockey teams, the Indianapolis Racers of the WHA and the Indianapolis Checkers of the IHL. Lamey was affectionately known as "Hockey Bob" upon first arriving on the Indianapolis sports scene in the 1970s. Lamey is also a previous Sports Director of Indianapolis radio station WIBC and, from 1988 to 2000, worked as a turn reporter on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network. The Indianapolis Colts season was the franchise's 55th season in the National Football League, the 24th in Indianapolis and the 6th season under head coach Tony Dungy. The defending AFC and Super Bowl champions improved upon their 12–4 record from 2006 as well as won their fifth-straight AFC South Championship. A color commentator or expert commentator is a sports commentator who assists the main (play-by-play) commentator, typically by filling in when play is not in progress. Louisville Fire
The Louisville Fire was an arena football team that played its home games at the Brown-Forman Field in Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. They were a 2001 expansion team of the af2. Their owner/operator was former Pro Bowl lineman and Louisville native Will Wolford. The team was somewhat successful. After a rocky first few seasons they finally found success in 2004 and then made it all the way to the Arena Cup in the 2005 season. On December 19, 2001, Jeff Brohm was named the head coach of the Louisville Fire arena football team. The Fire started the 0–7 before they defeated the Carolina Rhinos 31–28 to improve to 1–7. The American Football Conference (AFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL), the highest professional level of American football in the United States. The AFC and its counterpart, the National Football Conference (NFC), each contain 16 teams with 4 divisions. Both conferences were created as part of the 1970 merger between the National Football League, and the American Football League (AFL).
