Wilderado
Wilderado is an American indie folk band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. The band was first signed to Iamsound Records, but is now signed to Bright Antenna Records. Wilderado's Max Rainer and Tyler Wimpee met through mutual friends in college and started writing songs together in their fifth year after most of their friends had left. They went on a thirty concert tour with Flipturn in 2022, and expanded the tour to include bands Toledo and Michigander. In 2016, the band released their first EP, ''Misty Shrub''. On July 22, 2016, the band released their second EP titled ''Latigo'' which amassed over 18 million streams on Spotify. On the back of ''Latigo,'' Wilderado spent the next year touring with acts such as Band of Horses, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Lindsey Buckingham, and Judah & The Lion. Bright Antenna Records is an independent record label, founded in 2007 and based in Mill Valley, California. The label was created by producer Sep V and by writer Tiffanie DeBartolo and named after the lyrics to the song "The Spirit of Radio" by Rush. Judah & the Lion are an American Alternative rock and folk band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2011. Currently the band consists only of Judah Akers (vocals, guitar) and Brian Macdonald (mandolin, vocals). History The original members of the band met while attending Belmont University in Nashville. At Belmont, Akers was a baseball player, Zuercher was studying the banjo, and Macdonald was studying the mandolin. The band won Belmont's 2012 Best of the Best competition. Wildorado ( ) is an unincorporated community in Oldham County, Texas, United States. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had an estimated population of 180 in 2000. Geography Wildorado is located along FM 809 south of and Main Street north of Interstate 40, east of Vega, the county seat of Oldham County. The nearest large city is Amarillo, located approximately 20 miles east of Wildorado. Wildorado's elevation is 3,921 feet (1,195 m). History Named for nearby Wildorado Creek, the community was founded in 1900 as a railway town along the Chicago, Rock Island and Gulf Railroad. It was first settled by Eugene Binford and John R.
