Whitefield Metro Station
Whitefield (Kadugodi) (formerly known as Whitefield) is the eastern terminal metro station on the east-west corridor of the Purple Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, India. This station serves the Whitefield neighbourhood area. Around this station, is the Whitefield railway station followed by some locations like Kadugodi Bus Terminus, BSNL Telephone Service Center, Sri Sathya Sai Baba Ashram and many more. The Whitefield - Krishnarajapura trial runs were successfully conducted from 25 October for a month. This metro station was inaugurated on March 25 2023 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was commenced to the public on March 26 2023. Namma Metro
Namma Metro ("Our Metro" in Kannada), also known as Bengaluru Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bengaluru, India. Upon its inauguration, it became the first underground metro system in South India. Namma Metro has a mix of underground, at grade, and elevated stations. Out of the operational 52 metro stations of Namma Metro as of November 2022, there are 43 elevated stations, 8 underground stations and 1 at-grade station. The system runs on standard-gauge tracks.
