''What Should Not Be Unearthed'' is the eighth studio album by American technical death metal band Nile. The album was released on August 28, 2015 in North America through Nuclear Blast. It is the last album to feature Dallas Toler-Wade before his departure from the band in 2017. On July 7, 2015, the album's track listing was revealed with two lyric videos being released soon after. Nile is an American death metal band from Greenville, South Carolina, formed in 1993. The band's current lineup consists of Karl Sanders (guitars, vocals), George Kollias (drums), Brian Kingsland (guitars, vocals), and Scott Eames (guitars, vocals). Karl Sanders
Karl Sanders (born June 5, 1963) is an American singer and guitarist, most widely known as the founding member of the ancient Egyptian-themed technical death metal band Nile. Early life Before creating Nile, Sanders was in a thrash metal band during the late 1980s called Morriah and played local shows with the young Morbid Angel and other US death metal bands. Other projects Sanders began his own solo side project in 2004. Much of the music that he plays includes similar elements of his band Nile, however presented in an ambient/Egyptian folk format, rather than death metal. Sanders explained that "he got sick of hearing big loud death metal everyday after touring", and started writing quieter music to relax, and recorded them. George Kollias (drummer)
Giorgos "George" Kollias ( el, Γεώργιος "Γεωργι" Κόλλιας; born August 30, 1977) is a Greek heavy metal drummer and music teacher best known for his work with American technical death metal band Nile. He is the first Nile drummer to perform every song on more than one full-length album (handling drum duties so far on all albums from '' Annihilation of the Wicked'' through ''Vile Nilotic Rites''). His sponsors include Sabian, Evans, Vic Firth, and Axis Pedals; the last with whom he released his signature bass drum pedals.
