Wet Glaize, Missouri
Wet Glaize is an unincorporated community in Camden County, in the Ozarks of central Missouri. The community is just east of Missouri Route 7 on Mill Creek, which is a tributary of the Wet Glaize Creek. Montreal is to the northwest on Route 7 and Richland is to the southeast. Mill Creek has a large fish hatchery in the vicinity of Wet Glaize. History A post office called Wet Glaize was established in 1848, and remained in operation until 1938. There are 114 counties and one independent city in the U.S. State of Missouri. Ozarks
The Ozarks, also known as the Ozark Mountains, Ozark Highlands or Ozark Plateau, is a physiographic region in the U.S. states of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and the extreme southeastern corner of Kansas. Missouri Route 7
Route 7 is a state highway with its northern terminus at U.S. Route 24 in northeast Independence and its southern terminus at Interstate 44 southeast of Richland (near the town of Laquey which it doesn't quite reach). The section between Harrisonville (at a junction with Interstate 49/ U.S. Route 71) and Clinton (at a junction with Route 13) provides an important link for traffic between Springfield and Kansas City. Richland is a city in Camden, Laclede, and Pulaski counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. The population was 1,863 at the 2010 census. History Richland was originally called Lyon, and under the latter name was platted in 1869. The present name is after G. W. Rich, a railroad official.
