Morgan Lindstrøm
Morgan Lindstrøm (born 29 April 1956 in Oslo) is a Norwegians, Norwegian artist, composer, and synthesizer-performer. Lindstrøm was a member of the synth-duo Langsomt Mot Nord during their "Westrveg" period. His style has been described as "... rock propelled with influences from Norwegian folk and classical music, the synth work sometimes taking on the Michael Garrison wall-of-sound feel, with the finesse of early Vangelis". Before Langsomt Mot Nord, Lindstrøm was a member of the band "Ixi". Ixi participated on a record released by NRK radio in 1982, containing the chosen bands from "Ungdommens Radioavis Rockemønstring", a competition of upcoming bands. Ixi was later seen in the renowned Club 7 in Oslo. He is the brother of another Norwegian artist, Rune Lindstrøm of deLillos. Ola Snortheim
Ola Snortheim (born December 3, 1954, Harpefoss) is a Norwegian artist and record producer. Snortheim is the son of the folk-musician Olav Snortheim. Known as one of the most important drummers on the Norwegian rock-scene of the 1980s and 1990s, he has played in many bands, often together with guitarist Jørn Christensen. The most famous of the rock-bands Snortheim have played in was De Press. The group won the prize Spellemannprisen in the class ''New Rock'' in 1981, after releasing the album Block to Block. Steinar Ofsdal
Steinar Ofsdal (born 4 October 1948) is a Norwegian composer and flutist. Career Ofsdal has since 1967 performed on numerous stages in Norway, and worldwide in different settings. He has performed alone or within one of his many bands, and is also known as one of the members of the folk group Bukkene Bruse, including Annbjørg Lien, Arve Moen Bergset and Bjørn Ole Rasch. He has written several compositions for his own concert use, and music for theater, film, television and radio. Ofsdal won the Spellemannprisen 1983 in the Open class for the album ''Hat Trick'' and Spellemannprisen 1989 with Per Midtstigen in the class Folk / Old Norwegian Folk Dance for the album ''Sjøfløyta''. Bukkene Bruse was awarded Spellemannprisen 1993 in the class Children's music. Jon Eberson
Jon Arild Eberson (born 6 January 1953) is a Norwegian jazz guitarist and composer, the son of jazz guitarist Leif Eberson (1925–1970), and the father of keyboardist Marte Maaland Eberson. He was a member of the bands Moose Loose (1973–77), Radka Toneff Quintet (1975–80), and Blow Out (1977–78). Career Eberson had his debut recording as a guitarist on Ketil Bjørnstad's debut album ''Åpning'' (1972). In 1980 he formed the Jon Eberson Group, supported by vocalist and lyricist Sidsel Endresen. The group attracted attention with ''Jive Talking'' (1981), which was awarded the Spellemannprisen, and ''City Visions'' (1984), but disbanded in 1986. Jørn Christensen
Jørn Christensen (born December 29, 1959) is a Norwegian artist, actor, and record producer. He is known as a prominent and original guitarist of many leading Norwegian bands. Some of the more important projects have been those in conjunction with Ola Snortheim, the force behind Langsomt Mot Nord, which Christensen came up with the name for. Christensen is also a producer, and has worked with popular Norwegian bands like deLillos. He had a leading role in the Norwegian movie '' X'' (1986), directed by Oddvar Einarson. In 2008, Christensen also appeared on the children's album "Magic hooks & secrets" produced by Linn Skåber and Jacob Young with the song "Winter is here". Jan Erik Kongshaug
Jan Erik Kongshaug (4 July 1944 – 5 November 2019) was a Norwegian sound engineer, jazz guitarist, and composer. Career Kongshaug was born in Trondheim, the son of guitarist John Kongshaug. Store Norske Leksikon (in Norwegian) During his childhood and adolescence, he began to play the accordion (1950), guitar (1958) and bass (1964). Kongshaug gained his examen artium in 1963, and trained in electronics at the Trondheim Technical School in 1967. Then he worked for the Arne Bendiksen Studio (1967–1974) and Talent Studio (1974–79) in Oslo, and undertook some jobs in New York. In 1984, he founded his own recording studio, Rainbow Studio in Oslo and evolved into being one of the grand masters of Sound engineering. The Inner World Audio Magazin Altogether, he produced over 4,000 records, and was particularly known for some 700 recordings for ECM Records made from 1970 onwards. Eva Knardahl
Eva Knardahl Freiwald (10 May 1927 – 3 September 2006) was a Norwegian pianist, with a noted career both as a child prodigy and adult performer. Her debut with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 12, in which she played three concertos (those by Johann Sebastian Bach in F minor, Joseph Haydn in D major and Carl Maria von Weber in C major), was received with rave reviews. Knardahl was a student of Mary Barrat Due, who was educated in Italy. Idar Karevold, a music professor in Oslo, said that Knardahl's Italian style was unique in Norway. She started releasing records early. One of her first recordings was Edvard Grieg's "Wedding Day at Trollhaugen", which was released in 1946. She emigrated at 19 to the United States, where she had a distinguished career with the Minnesota Orchestra for 15 years.
