Westmont High School (California)
Westmont High School is located in Campbell, California, United States and is part of the Campbell Union High School District. First opened in the fall of 1964, Westmont drew students initially from both Blackford and Campbell High Schools. The school retains many academic achievements including the 1996 California Distinguished School and 1997 National Blue Ribbon School. The school is also home to the Campbell FFA Future Farmers of America The school sits at the Northwest corner of the 1839 Alta California land grant, Rancho Rinconada de Los Gatos. San Tomas Aquino Creek wraps around the northern edge of the school and formed the land grant's boundary. Westmont High School, or WHS, is a public four-year high school located in Westmont, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Westmont Community Unit School District 201. The student population of 450 students and building size are much smaller than adjacent public high schools such as Downers Grove North and Hinsdale Central. History The school was created as part of the newly formed CUSD 201 in Westmont in 1972, and first opened for education in September 1974. The community approved building the new high school in 1973, and the current Westmont High School building opened in October 1976. The school mascot, the Sentinel, is a sentry, or guard wearing a uniform of the school colors, burgundy and gold. The name was chosen via submissions to the school board. Westmont Hilltop High School is a small suburban, public high school. It is the sole high school operated by the Westmont Hilltop School District. Westmont Hilltop High School is located in Upper Yoder Township, Cambria County in the western suburbs of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The School serves the populations living in Upper Yoder Township, Westmont Borough, and Southmont Borough, Cambria County. In the 2016–2017 school year, Westmont Hilltop High School enrollment was reported as 657 pupils in 9th through 12th grades. WHHS students may choose to attend Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center for training in the construction and mechanical trades.
