Westlake High School (also known as Westlake High, Westlake, or WHS) is a public high school in the Westlake neighborhood of Thousand Oaks, in Ventura County, California. Westlake High School serves grades 9–12 in the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Middle schools that feed into Westlake include Colina Middle School and Los Cerritos Middle School. The first graduating class was the class of 1980. The first principal was William Albers. All students entering Westlake High School in 1979 signed a charter, which sits in the office today. Ron Lipari was the principal of WHS for 15 years. In 2015, Jason Branham was selected as the new principal. Academics Rankings ''Newsweek'' has consistently ranked WHS as one of the top high schools in the United States. Westlake High School is a comprehensive public high school located in Fulton County, Georgia and is accredited by the Georgia Department of Education and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The academic growth rate for Westlake students was higher that 95% of schools in the state and was above the state average in college readiness in 2019. History As a part of the Fulton County School System consolidation plan, Westlake was formed in 1988 by the closing of Westwood and Lakeshore High Schools. The new school used the old Westwood facility until 2008, when Westlake moved into a new state-of-the-art school next to the old campus. Feeder schools include Sandtown Middle School and Camp Creek Middle School. Westlake High School is a high school in Westlake, Louisiana. It is a part of Calcasieu Parish Public Schools and was established in 1914. History Until Westlake High's founding in 1914, Westlake students attended Lake Charles High School. Mr. S.P. Arnett organized the establishment of a high school building on Sulphur Avenue. The building was made of red bricks painted yellow, and became known as the "yellow brick building". An auditorium/gymnasium, called the "red brick building," opened in 1936. The first yearbook, "Big Horn," was printed in 1946. That year, homecoming and American football were established. A new high school building was added to the Sulphur Avenue campus in 1949. The high school moved to its current campus on Garden Drive in January 1967, and the Sulphur Avenue campus became known as S.P. Arnett Junior High School (now S.P. Arnett Middle School). Westlake High School is a public high school in unincorporated territory of Travis County, Texas, west of and adjacent to Austin. The school is a part of the Eanes Independent School District. Westlake High School (WHS) is a public high school located in Saratoga Springs, Utah, United States. It is part of Utah County's Alpine School District. The school first opened in 2009.
