Western Sting
The West Coast Fever reserves are an Australian netball team that represents Netball Western Australia in the Australian Netball League. As the Western Sting, the team was ANL champions in 2017. The Fever reserves are effectively the representative team of the West Australian Netball League and the reserve team of West Coast Fever. History Australian Netball League In 2008, Netball Western Australia entered a team in the Australian Netball League. They were founder members of the league. In 2011 the team began playing as Western Sting. Between 2013 and 2014 future West Coast Fever head coach, Stacey Marinkovich (née Rosman) served as the Sting head coach. In 2017 with a squad that included Olivia Lewis, Sophie Garbin, Lindal Rohde, Annika Lee-Jones and Kaylia Stanton, Western Sting reached their first grand final and won their first ANL title. West Coast Warriors
The West Australian Netball League, also referred to as the WA Netball League, is a state netball league featuring teams from Western Australia. It is organised by Netball Western Australia. On a national level, the league is effectively a third level league, below Suncorp Super Netball and the Australian Netball League. It was originally known as the Gold Netball League. During the later 2000s and early 2010s, it was known as the Smarter than Smoking Netball League. Since 2019 it has been known as the Gold Industry Group WANL. Historically, the league's most successful team has been Southside Demons. During the 2010s the most successful team has been West Coast Warriors. Josie Janz-Dawson (born 24 February 1988) is an Australian netball player in the Netball Superleague who will play for Team Bath in 2018. Kirby Bentley
Kirby Bentley (born 9 May 1986) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the and Carlton Football Clubs in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). Bentley was signed as a priority player by Fremantle in August 2016 ahead of the league's inaugural 2017 season. She made her debut in Round 1, 2017, in the club's inaugural match against at VU Whitten Oval. In 2017, Bentley played a State of Origin match for the Allies and injured her knee, which required surgery. She was delisted by Fremantle at the end of the 2018 season. Ashleigh Brazill
Ashleigh Brazill (born 29 December 1989 in Campbelltown, New South Wales) is an Australian netball and AFL Women's player, playing both sports concurrently for Collingwood Football Club. She has played for the West Coast Fever and New South Wales Swifts previously in her netball career. Netball career Domestic Brazill made her domestic league debut for the New South Wales Swifts in 2010. She made the move to the West Coast Fever in 2012 and made an immediate impact, winning the club's MVP for the season. Brazill suffered with injuries over the next two seasons which restricted her time on court. Kate Beveridge
Kate Beveridge (born 25 July 1985) is a former Australian netball player who played in the ANZ Championship for the Adelaide Thunderbirds in 2008–2010, Melbourne Vixens in 2011–2012 and West Coast Fever in 2013-2017. Beveridge is known for her long range goal attempts, high arcing shots and very high accuracy rate. She is also known for her unique shooting style, having her arms straight while shooting. She was chosen to play for the Australian Netball Diamonds in 2008-2011. Although Beveridge was not included in the 12-player Diamonds squad in 2010, she captained the Diamonds' FastNet team in 2010 as the only player to have played in the 2009 World Netball Series.
