West Gosford is home to the Henry Kendall cottage and was home to the Gosford Classic Car Museum prior to its 2019 closure. Point Clare is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia located approximately north of Sydney and south-west of Gosford's central business district on the western shore of Brisbane Water. It is part of the local government area. Anaconda, listed as The Trustee for Anaconda Unit Trust in the Australian Business Register and Dun and Bradstreet, is one of several retail businesses comprising the Spotlight Group family of stores. It is an outdoor adventure and sporting goods retailer exclusive to Australia. They offer 436 brands. Henry Kendall (poet)
Thomas Henry Kendall (18 April 18391 August 1882), was an Australian author and bush poet, who was particularly known for his poems and tales set in a natural environment. He appears never to have used his first name — his three volumes of verse were all published under the name of "Henry Kendall". Early life Kendall was born in a settler's hut by Yackungarrah Creek in Yatte Yattah near Ulladulla, New South Wales, twin son (with Basil Edward Kendall) of Basil Kendall (1809–1852) and his wife Matilda Kendall, née McNally c. 1815, and baptised in the Presbyterian church. His father was the second son of Rev. Thomas Kendall, an Englishman who came to Sydney in 1809 and five years later went as a missionary to New Zealand, before settling in New South Wales in 1827. Kariong, New South Wales
Kariong () is a locality of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia west of Gosford along the Central Coast Highway. It is part of the local government area. History Kariong's first British settler was W.H. Parry in 1901. The Mt Penang Training School for Boys (later the Mount Penang Juvenile Justice Centre) was opened in 1911. Many of the boys came from the training ship Sobraon, which had been in Sydney Harbour before being condemned, as did former officer Basil Topple. The village of about fifteen families, mostly workers at the training school, was first called Kendall Heights, then Penang Mountain. The name Kariong was assigned in about 1947. Kariong Mountains High School opened in 2010 at Kariong.
