Werq The World
The Werq the World tour is an ongoing tour featuring drag queens from ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. The tour, created by Brandon Voss and some input by Shangela, is produced by Voss Events in collaboration with VH1 and World of Wonder. It is known for its large-scale shows on stages with jumbotron screens, which give performances a concert-style feel. History Werq the World was forced to reschedule its October 2017 stop in Houston due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. The tour returned to that city on February 7, 2018, with the queens making a donation to the Montrose Center's LGBTQ Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. The donation was matched by Voss Events. In May 2019, World of Wonder debuted ''Werq the World'', a 10-episode docuseries directed by Jasper Rischen. It presents behind-the-scenes looks at the lives of the performers who were on the 2018 European leg of the tour, with each episode profiling a different queen. RuPaul's Drag Race
''RuPaul's Drag Race'' is an American reality competition television series, the first in the ''Drag Race'' franchise, produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV (season 1–8), WOW Presents Plus, VH1 (season 9–14) and, beginning with the fifteenth season, MTV. The show documents RuPaul in the search for "America's next drag superstar". RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor, and head judge for this series, as contestants are given different challenges each week. Contestants are judged by a panel that includes RuPaul, Michelle Visage, an alternating third main judge of either Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, or Ts Madison, and one or more guest judges, who critique their progress throughout the competition. The title of the show is a play on drag queen and drag racing, and the title sequence and song "Drag Race" both have a drag-racing theme. The ''Evening Express'' is a daily local newspaper serving the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. History It was first published in November 1879. It was a tabloid during the 1930s to the 1950s until it resumed as a broadsheet in November 1958, six days a week. By September 1989, The Saturday edition returned to a tabloid with the broadsheet formula during the weekdays. It became a tabloid six days a week in February 1995. There was also a Saturday night paper called the Green Final which ended in June 2002 after many years in which it was printed on green paper instead of the usual white. Matthew D. Sanderson, (born June 3, 1985) better known by the stage name Detox Icunt or simply Detox, is an American drag performer and recording artist. Detox was a fixture of the Southern California drag scene before coming to international attention on the fifth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Career Detox has appeared in music videos with Ke$ha and Rihanna and is a member of Chad Michaels' Dreamgirls Revue, the longest-running female-impersonation show in California.
