Werner Lassen (born 1974) is a Namibian amateur golfer. By profession a photocopy machine sales manager, he has appeared in numerous amateur tournaments both within his country and outside of it. Bank Windhoek Namibian Open Golf Tournament In May 2007, Lassen won the Bank Windhoek Namibian Open Golf Tournament for a record 10th time in 15 years, beating Andrew Dodds in a sudden death playoff. He holds the record for the most Open victories over Adri Basson (5 time winner). The Bank Windhoek Namibian Open Golf Tournament is an amateur golf tournament currently held at the Windhoek Country Club in Windhoek, Namibia. The current tournament operation began in 1970 as the South West African Open in 1970, while a tournament in some form has been in operation since 1935. Andrew Dodds (born 2 August 1991) is an Australian figure skater who competes in both men's singles and ice dance. As a single skater, he is a three-time Australian national silver medalist and has competed in the final segment at four Four Continents Championships. As an ice dancer with partner Chantelle Kerry, he is a two-time Australian national champion (2017, 2018) and has appeared at two Four Continents. 2006 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2006 Eisenhower Trophy took place 26–29 October at De Zalze Golf Club and Stellenbosch Golf Club in Stellenbosch, east of Cape Town, South Africa. It was the 25th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 70 three-man teams. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team played two rounds on the two courses. The leading teams played at Stellenbosch Golf Club on the third day and at De Zalze Golf Club on the final day. The Netherlands won their first Eisenhower Trophy, two strokes ahead of Canada, who took the silver medal. The United States took the bronze medal while Wales finished in fourth place.
