Welenchiti
Welenchiti (Amharic: ወለንጭቲ) (also transliterated Wolenchite and Aualancheti) is a town in east-central Ethiopia. Located in the Misraq (East) Shewa Zone of the Oromia Region, this town has a longitude and latitude of and an elevation of 1436 meters above sea level. It is the administrative center of Boset woreda. Demographics Based on figures from the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, Welenchiti has an estimated total population of 20,984 of whom 10,545 were males and 10,439 were females. The 1994 national census reported this town had a total population of 11,732 of whom 5,719 were males and 6,013 were females. Resources Welenchiti is known for agricultural products mainly growing Teff which will be produced in large quantities supplying the region reaching Dire Dawa and Harar in the root to Djibouti. Boset
Boset is one of the Districts of Ethiopia, districts in the Oromia of Ethiopia. Part of the East Shewa Zone located in the Great Rift Valley, Ethiopia, Great Rift Valley, Boset is bordered on the south by the Arsi Zone, on the west by the Awash River which separates it from Adama (woreda), Adama, on the north by the Amhara Region, and on the east by Fentale. Addis Ababa–Djibouti Railway
The Addis Ababa–Djibouti Railway (; , , ) is a new standard gauge international railway that serves as the backbone of the new Ethiopian National Railway Network. The railway was inaugurated by Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn on January 1, 2018. It provides landlocked Ethiopia with access to the sea, linking Ethiopia's capital of Addis Ababa with Djibouti and its Port of Doraleh. More than 95% of Ethiopia's trade passes through Djibouti, accounting for 70% of the activity at the Port of Djibouti. The total railway capacity is 24.9 million tonnes of freight annually, with 6 million tonnes annually expected in 2023. These plans are accompanied by construction works at the Port of Doraleh to expand the annual cargo handling capacity from 6 to 14 million tonnes, with the aim of reaching 10 million tonnes of cargo by 2022. Woreda
Districts of Ethiopia, also called woredas ( am, ወረዳ; ''woreda''), are the third level of the administrative divisions of Ethiopia – after ''zones'' and the '' regional states''. These districts are further subdivided into a number of wards called ''kebele'' neighbourhood associations, which are the smallest unit of local government in Ethiopia. The Central Statistical Agency (CSA; Amharic: ማዕከላዊ ስታቲስቲክስ ኤጀንሲ) is an agency of the government of Ethiopia designated to provide all surveys and censuses for that country used to monitor economic and social growth, as well as to act as an official training center in that field. It is part of the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. The Director General of the CSA is Samia Zekaria. Before 9 March 1989 the CSA was known as the Central Statistical Office (CSO). The CSA has 25 branch offices. ''Eragrostis tef'', also known as teff, Williams lovegrass or annual bunch grass, is an annual grass, a species of lovegrass native to the Horn of Africa, notably to both Eritrea and Ethiopia. It is cultivated for its edible seeds, also known as teff. Teff was one of the earliest plants domesticated. It is one of the most important staple crops in Ethiopia and Eritrea.
