Ca$hville Records
Cashville Records (formerly G-Unit South) is an American independent record label based in Nashville, Tennessee founded by rapper Young Buck. Initially founded as a southern branch of 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, the label became "Cashville Records" in late 2007 after a dispute between 50 Cent and Young Buck led to Buck being banned from using the G-Unit logo or name to distribute his music. The label has signed such acts as The Outlawz, C-Bo, Lil Scrappy, D4L and more. History In 2008, The Outlawz were the latest addition to Cashville Records, joining veteran rapper C-Bo, who became a part of the label's roster in January. A mixtape (alternatively mix-tape, mix tape or mixed tape) is a compilation of music, typically from multiple sources, recorded onto a medium. With origins in the 1980s, the term normally describes a homemade compilation of music onto a cassette tape, CD, or digital playlist. Young Buck
David Darnell Brown (born March 15, 1981), best known by his stage name Young Buck, is an American rapper. He heads his own record label, Cashville, and was a member of the former hip hop group G-Unit. Early life Brown was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Around the age of 12, he began rapping. A few years later, he performed for Brian "Baby" Williams, co-founder of Cash Money. Music career Young Buck joined Cash Money in 1997 but left for Juvenile's UTP in 2000. He released two albums with UTP, '' Born to Be a Thug'' and '' The Compilation'', before leaving the label in 2003 to join 50 Cent's record label G-Unit. His first recording with G-Unit Records was on the 2002 recorded song ''Blood Hound'' for 50 Cent's February 2003 debut studio album Get Rich or Die Tryin'. The Outlawz
Outlawz (formerly known as Outlaw Immortalz) are an American hip hop group founded by rapper Tupac Shakur in late 1995 after Shakur's release from prison. Collectively, they were best known for their association with Shakur. Most of the group members are named after political figures. Tha City Paper
Tha City Paper is an American rapper, currently signed to the Ca$hville Records record label. Early life The City Paper grew up on the north and west side of Nashville. Around 1996–1997 while in high school, Paper was dating the cousin of a rapper named Pistol. He also knew Pistol's cousins, who were a part of a group called "PJN", which Pistol created. Marcus Fitzgerald, Tha City Paper's name, was a thriving young basketball player before joining the hip-hop scene. Music career Solo career Young Paper began to frequently listen in on the group PJN recording sessions, which sparked his interest in rap. He later became a part of that group. Over time, he featured on plenty of Pistol's tracks, and gradually gained success. He has made many songs, including "City Paper (dope boy swagg)", and "Lil Bo Tuff" which were off his independent album ''Paper View''. Shawn Thomas, also known by his stage name C-Bo, is an American rapper. C-Bo, notoriously known for his relationship with law enforcement, was one of the first rappers to be jailed due to his lyrical content, a scathing critique of political officials, including governor Pete Wilson, California's Prop. 184 mandatory 25-life sentences for three strike felons, and police on his track "Deadly Game" written with rapper X-Raided in 1995. He unsuccessfully argued for appeal three times, while gaining nationwide attention for arguably his most successful mainstream album.
