Young Buck
David Darnell Brown (born March 15, 1981), better known by his stage name Young Buck, is an American rapper. He signed with Birdman's Cash Money Records in 1997, formed the hip hop collective UTP with Juvenile and Soulja Slim in 2000, and joined 50 Cent's group, G-Unit by 2003. He signed with the latter's parent label, G-Unit Records, an imprint of Interscope Records to release his debut studio album '' Straight Outta Cashville'' (2004) and its follow-up '' Buck the World'' (2007), both of which peaked at number three on the ''Billboard'' 200 and were met with critical praise. He is best known as a member of G-Unit, a hip hop group he formed with his childhood friends, 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks. ''The Compilation'' is a compilation album by UTP, released on October 8, 2002 through Orpheus Records. Background Juvenile had left popular hip hop label Cash Money Records earlier in 2002 after three consecutive albums to form his own collective UTP. In addition to Juvenile, UTP also featured Wacko, Skip, Corey Cee, Soulja Slim and Young Buck though Corey Cee would leave the group shortly after ''The Compilation''. Most of the songs on the album were performed by the entire group, though some songs were performed by a lone member of the group. Production for the album was handled entirely by Juvenile himself. Reception Gregory McIntosh of Allmusic gave the album 2.5 stars out of a possible of five. Shawn Thomas (born January 14, 1972), better known by his stage name C-Bo, is an American rapper from Sacramento, California. Known for his extensive legal troubles, he was the first notable rapper to be jailed due to his lyrical content in 1998. His 1995 song, "Deadly Game" (with X-Raided) earned this distinction, as its lyrics were a scathing critique of political officials, including governor Pete Wilson, and California's Prop. 184 three-strikes law. Outlawz was an American hip-hop group founded by Tupac Shakur and Yafeu Fula in 1995.
