Sultan Rahi
Sultan Rahi ( ur, ﺳﻠﻄﺎﻥ ﺭﺍﮨﯽ ; June 24, 1938 – January 9, 1996) was a Pakistani actor, producer and screenwriter. He established himself as one of the leading and most successful actors of Pakistani and Punjabi cinema, and received a reputation as Pakistan's "Clint Eastwood". During a career spanning 40 years, he acted in some 703 Punjabi films and 100 Urdu films, winning around 160 awards. Rahi earned two Nigar Awards for his work in ''Babul'' (1971) and ''Basheera'' (1972). In 1975 he portrayed the character of Maula Jatt in ''Wehshi Jatt'', winning his third Nigar Award. Chakori () a.k.a. Chakori Begum; (1947 – 2 November 2010) was a film actress from Sindh, Pakistan. She worked in Sindhi, Punjabi and Urdu films till the 1990s. Early life Her real name was Khawar Sultana. She was born in 1947 in Hyderabad, Sindh to a famous dancer Surieyaya. Whereas, according to her family, she was born in Gujrat, India. Hazeen Qadri
Bashir Ahmad (9 April 1926 – 19 March 1991), known as Hazin Qadri, was a Punjabi film song lyricist and film screenwriter from Pakistan. Early life Qadri was born Bashir Ahmad in a small village 'Raja Tamoli' near Gujranwala, British India on 9 April 1926. He could not complete his education beyond the elementary or primary school due to poverty. As a young man, he was eager to get an opportunity to try his luck in the then newly established Pakistani film industry after 1947. After two years of struggle, he was given a chance to write his first film song by the veteran film producer and director Anwar Kamal Pasha for his upcoming film Do Ansoo (1950). Najma is a former Pakistani film actress. She appeared in more than 100 Urdu and Punjabi movies during the 1970s and 1980s. Aasia Begum, better known as simply Aasia, (13 November 1952 – 9 March 2013) was a Pakistani film actress who was active in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Early life Aasia was born in 1952 as Firdous in Patiala, Punjab, India. She emigrated from India to Pakistan. She resided in New York after retiring from her career, where she died on 9 March 2013, aged 60. Career She had made her debut in the Pakistani film industry in 1970 in a film by producer Shabab Kiranwi. In the same year, she also acted in film director Riaz Shahid's movie ''Gharnata'' (1970). Anwar Kamal Pasha
Anwar Kamal Pasha ( ur, ), (23 February 1925 – 13 October 1987) was the pioneer in the Pakistan film industry and an early Pakistani film director and producer from Lahore, Pakistan. Life and career Pasha was a graduate from the Forman Christian College, Lahore, and went on to earn two Master of Arts degrees at the University of the Punjab. He generally scripted, produced and directed his own films, which dealt with such social themes as poverty, love, social strata, suicide, moral decay and death. Anwar Kamal Pasha trained and introduced many new people to the Pakistan film industry who later made a name for themselves, including film directors M. S. Dar, M.
