Anwar Kamal Pasha
Anwar Kamal Pasha ( ur, ), (23 February 1925 – 13 October 1987) was the pioneer in the Pakistan film industry and an early Pakistani film director and producer from Lahore, Pakistan. Life and career Pasha was a graduate from the Forman Christian College, Lahore, and went on to earn two Master of Arts degrees at the University of the Punjab. He generally scripted, produced and directed his own films, which dealt with such social themes as poverty, love, social strata, suicide, moral decay and death. Anwar Kamal Pasha trained and introduced many new people to the Pakistan film industry who later made a name for themselves, including film directors M. S. Dar, M. Akram, Altaf Hussain (film director), music directors Master Inayat Hussain and later his younger brother Master Abdullah. Bahar Begum (born Kishwar Begum; ) is an actress best known for many Pakistani movies since 1956. She was first introduced to the Pakistani film industry by the renowned film director Anwar Kamal Pasha in film Chann Mahi (1956). Anwar Kamal Pasha is the one that gave her the professional film world name Bahar Begum. Wajahat Attre (1945 – 26 May 2017) was a Pakistani music director who composed around 3000 songs for over 200 films. Early life Wajahat Attre was born in Puna, Gujarat, British India in 1945. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, his family migrated to Pakistan. ''Anarkali'' is a 1958 Pakistani historical drama film, directed by Anwar Kamal Pasha and starring Noor Jehan and Sudhir in lead roles. Based on the Urdu play of the same name by Imtiaz Ali Taj, the screenplay is written by Anwar Kamal Pasha with dialogues by Qamar Ajnalvi. The film revolves around the love of Jahangir for a slave girl Anarkali which creates a serious conflict between Prince Jahangir and his father, Mughal emperor Akbar. The film was released on 4 June 1958 and its performance was 'average' at the Box Office. Ghulam Ahmed Chishti ( Punjabi, ur, ), (often abbreviated to G.A. Chishti) ( Punjabi, ur, ), (17 August 1905 – 25 December 1994) was a Pakistani music composer, attributed as being one of the founders of Indian and Pakistani film music. He is also sometimes referred to as ''Baba Chishti''. Working with filmi music, Chishti excelled at Punjabi compositions and was 'apt at weaving the design of influences around Punjabi music'.
