Wayne Perske
Wayne Perske (born 7 July 1974) is an Australian professional golfer. Perske played on the PGA Tour of Australasia and the Japan Golf Tour, winning once. In October 2010, Perske was arrested in Japan for cocaine possession. He was convicted and received an 18-month sentence in prison, suspended for three years. Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches
The Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches were an amateur team golf competition for men between the states and territories of Australia. The event started in 1904 when New South Wales played Victoria. Until World War II the event was played as part of the championship meeting which included the Australian Amateur. It was not until 1947 that all six states, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia, contested the event together. Northern Territory first played in 2015 increasing the number of teams to seven. The final format was a round-robin tournament, each team playing the other six teams, after which the top two teams play a final. Each team consisted of eight players. Seven competed in each round-robin match with all eight playing in the final. Only singles matches were played. The Nomura Cup, also known as the Asia-Pacific Amateur Golf Team Championship, is a biennial amateur team golf championship for men organised by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation. The inaugural event was held in 1963 and it has been played in odd-numbered years since. Format Teams used to consist of four players but from 2022 the playing members have been reduced to three. The tournament is held over 4 days with 18 holes of stroke play on each day, the best two rounds counting for the team score. History In the early tournaments, only the Philippines, Japan and Chinese Taipei competed. By the eighth championship in 1977, held in Malaysia, a then record of 10 nations were competing. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. Andre Stolz
Andre Pierre Stolz (born 10 May 1970) is an Australian professional golfer. Early life and professional career Stolz was born in Brisbane, Australia. He turned professional in 1992. He has played on the PGA Tour of Australasia, Japan Golf Tour (2001), Nationwide Tour (2003), and PGA Tour (2004–05). In 2003, he won the LaSalle Bank Open on the Nationwide Tour and finished 13th on the money list, earning his PGA Tour card for 2004. On the PGA Tour, he won the 2004 Michelin Championship at Las Vegas with a stroke victory over Tag Ridings, securing his card through 2006. However, an injury to his left wrist in 2005 halted his career. After taking three years off, Stolz went back to playing, competing in his native Australia, Asia, and the Nationwide Tour.
