Waverley Rail Trail
__NOTOC__ The Waverley Rail Trail is a combination of shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians and on-road bicycle route, which follows the Glen Waverley railway line from Holmesglen railway station to Glen Waverley railway station in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Route The path begins at the eastern end of Holmesglen railway station. Trail users can either cross Warrigal Road at the traffic lights and join the trail on the southern side of the railway line or cross the railway bridge on the northern side and continue for approximately 200m to the pedestrian crossing across the railway line. The path continues until it reaches Paringa Court. It then crosses Power Avenue and continues up Railway Parade South to Huntingdale Road. It crosses at the traffic lights then continues through Jordanville railway station car park to Windsor Avenue. Jordanville Railway Station
Jordanville railway station is a commuter railway station in the suburb of Mount Waverley in the south east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The station opened in 1930 as a part of the extension from East Malvern to Glen Waverley. The station consists of a single island platform which is connected to Winsor Avenue and Huntingdale Road via a pedestrian subway. Jordanville station is currently served by the Glen Waverley line which is a part of the Melbourne Railway Network. Additionally it is served by bus route 767. __NOTOC__ The Dandenong Creek Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, which follows Dandenong Creek through the outer eastern and south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Syndal Heatherdale Pipe Reserve Trail
__NOTOC__ The Syndal Heatherdale Pipe Reserve Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, which follows the Syndal to Heatherdale pipe reserve in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The trail is navigable from one end to the other but most of the path is a poorly maintained gravel surface, with the only paved surface being between Highbury Road and Ballantyne Street. Monash Council has released a tender for construction of the section from Highbury Road to High Street Road, while Whitehorse Council is currently planning for construction of the path from Mahoneys Road to Norma Road. Gardiners Creek Trail
__NOTOC__ The Gardiners Creek Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, which follows Gardiners Creek through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Bicycle Victoria is campaigning for a connection between Winton Road and Warrigal Road, to complete the gap in the trail at this point. It is proposed that the path would continue along the creek parallel to the Malvern Public Golf Course, spanning the gap from Winton Road to Warrigal Road. Following the path The path begins as a branch of the Main Yarra Trail, opposite St Kevin's College and Scotch College, close to Kooyong railway station (on the Glen Waverley line); between the suburbs of Toorak, Hawthorn, and Kooyong. Scotchmans Creek Trail
__NOTOC__ The Scotchmans Creek Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, which follows Scotchmans Creek through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It runs from East Malvern railway station through to Jells Park although several sections consist of normal residential streets. The trail provides good access to Chadstone Shopping Centre and Holmesglen Institute of TAFE for the local community. The trail passes through Valley Reserve in Mount Waverley, which is one of the last remaining stands of indigenous vegetation in the local area. Although Scotchmans Creek Trail is widely recognized as ending in the west at East Malvern Railway Station, some sources have the trail's west end at Warrigal Rd. Syndal Railway Station
Syndal railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley, and opened on 5 May 1930. History Syndal station opened on 5 May 1930, when the railway line from East Malvern was extended to Glen Waverley. The station gets its name from a nearby property owned by Sir Redmond Barry, a major figure in the development of the area. In 1958, the line was duplicated between Mount Waverley and Syndal and, in 1964, the current island platform was provided, when the line was duplicated between Syndal and Glen Waverley. On 20 November 1989, the station was the site of a collision involving Hitachi and Comeng train sets. The incident occurred after the 7.49am train from Glen Waverley passed a red signal, and collided with the 7.46am train from Glen Waverley, at a speed of roughly 40 km/h.
