Wave Machines
Wave Machines was an English art pop band formed in Liverpool in 2007. The band released singles "The Greatest Escape We Ever Made" and "I Go I Go I Go" on Chess Club Records before signing with Neapolitan Music Limited in 2008. Three further singles, "Keep The Lights On", a newly recorded version of "I Go I Go I Go" and "Punk Spirit" followed. The band's debut album ''Wave If You're Really There'' was released in June 2009. It received favourable reviews from NME. Clash (magazine) and Artrocker (magazine) The group has performed a number of live sessions on BBC 6 Music on shows presented by Lauren Laverne, George Lamb and Marc Riley, as well as sessions on other stations for Huw Stephens, John Kennedy and Rob da Bank. The band performed live at Jodrell Bank Observatory for Jodrell Bank Live on 2 July 2011 alongside The Flaming Lips and British Sea Power. Rob Da Bank
Robert John Gorham (born 24 June 1973 in Portsmouth, Hampshire), known by the pseudonym Rob da Bank, is an English DJ and co-founder of music festivals Bestival, originally on the Isle of Wight and now moved to Lulworth, Dorset and Camp Bestival, also in Lulworth. He presented a show on BBC Radio 1 which focused on promoting new left field music. Examples of artists featured on his show include Tipper, Moloko and a host of unsigned acts. Until September 2006, he and Chris Coco were the presenters of the Blue Room on Radio 1. He hosted the Radio One Music Show on Thursday nights, the content of which was more similar to the music played on his current show. Vidar Norheim
Vidar Norheim (born 13 October 1981) is a Norwegian drummer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Born in Molde, Norheim started drumming as one of the original members of the jazz group DIXI in 1996. He is also a graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where he specialized in songwriting. In 2004 he also joined a Liverpool-based band which eventually became Wave Machines, which has toured in England, the USA and Norway and in June 2009 released its debut album ''Wave If You're Really There''. Norheim has lived in Liverpool since 2002 and is married to the Liverpudlian singer-songwriter and playwright Lizzie Nunnery, with whom he has collaborated on several album releases. On 12 August 2011 he was nominated for a prize at the Trondheim Calling music festival. Furuberget
Furuberget is an independent record label founded in 2013 and based in Oslo, Norway. The label was created by musicians André Lersveen and Ole Torstein Hovig. The company name (literally 'the pine mountain') comes from the name of the forest in Hedmark where Lersveen grew up, Furuberget Nature Reserve. In addition to their digital releases, Furuberget operates an online store through bandcamp for its vinyl releases. Furuberget has signed many artists including The Hallway and previously Ludvig Moon with Spellemannprisen winners as members. Vidar Norheim, former member of Liverpool band Wave Machines, is also signed to Furuberget with his solo EP.
