Wataniya Mobile
Ooredoo Palestine (formerly Wataniya Mobile Palestine Telecommunication Company or Wataniya Mobile for short) is one of the two mobile network operators in the West Bank (the other being Jawwal), founded in November 2009. It describes itself as a member of the Ooredoo Group, and it is 48.45% owned by Ooredoo, 34.03% by the Palestine Investment Fund, and 17.52% by others (freely traded). The chairman is Mohammed Abu Ramadan, who was formerly Palestinian Minister of State for Planning, and the CEO is Durgham Maraee. Ooredoo had 610,000 subscribers by the end of 2012, a 28% market share, and was the third largest company on the Palestine Exchange by market capitalization, representing 13.8% of the Al-Quds Index. Al-Bireh
Al-Bireh, al-Birah, or el-Bira ( ar, البيرة; also known historically as Castrum Mahomeria, Magna Mahomeria, Mahomeria Major, Birra, or Beirothah) is a State of Palestine, Palestinian city in the central West Bank, north of Jerusalem. Palestine Investment Fund
The Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) was established in 2003 as an independent investment company aiming to strengthen the local economy through strategic investments, while maximising long-run returns for its ultimate shareholder; the people of Palestine. It was created by a transfer of assets previously managed by the Palestinian Authority. Since January 2009, Mohammad Mustafa has been the chairman and co-president of the company. Palestine Cellular Communications Company, trading as Jawwal ( ar, جوال), is the first Palestinian communications company specialized in cellular and wireless communications; assumes its business in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and is one of Paltel Group.
