Wat'a, Huánuco
Wat'a (Quechua for island,Teofilo Laime Ajacopa, Diccionario Bilingüe Iskay simipi yuyayk'ancha, La Paz, 2007 (Quechua-Spanish dictionary) Hispanicized spelling ''Huata'') is an archaeological site in Peru. It lies in the Huánuco Region, Huamalíes Province, Singa District, in the little community of Bella Flores north of Singa. Anta Province
Anta Province is one of thirteen provinces in the Cusco Region in the southern highlands of Peru. Geography The Willkapampa mountain range traverses the province. The highest peak of the province is Sallqantay at . Other mountains are listed below: Political division The province is divided into nine districts ( es, distritos, singular: ''distrito''), each of which is headed by a mayor (''alcalde''). Kachimayu (Cusco)
Kachimayu (Quechua language, Quechua ''kachi'' salt, ''mayu'' river, "salt river", Hispanicized spelling ''Cachimayo'') is a river in Peru located in the Cusco Region, Anta Province. Its belongs to the Urubamba River, Willkanuta watershed. Kachimayu originates in the mountains near Cusco. Archaeological Sites In Peru
Archaeological sites in Peru are numerous and diverse, representing different aspects including temples and fortresses of the various cultures of ancient Peru, such as the Moche and Nazca. The sites vary in importance from small local sites to UNESCO World Heritage sites of global importance. Their nature and complexity of the sites vary from small single-featured sites such as pyramids to entire cities, such as Chan Chan and Machu Picchu. Preservation and investigation of these sites are controlled mainly by the Culture Ministry (MINCUL) ( es, Ministerio de Cultura (Perú)). The lack of funding to protect sites and enforce existing laws, results in large scale looting and illegal trading of artifacts.
