Warrenpoint Town Football Club is a semi professional Northern Irish football club playing in the NIFL Championship. The club's home ground is Milltown, Warrenpoint. History The club was formed in 1987, and for the first 23 years of its existence played at regional league level. After being crowned champions of the Mid-Ulster Football League Intermediate A division in the 2009–10 season, the club was elected to Championship 2 for the first time by the Championship Committee. During their first season, they defeated Cliftonville 3–1 on penalties at Solitude in the fifth round of the 2010–11 Irish Cup – at the time, the biggest result in the club's history. It went on to become a very successful season for the club, as they adapted to the step-up to Championship 2 emphatically, winning the division by nine points and losing only one of the 30 games in the process. Milltown (stadium)
Milltown is a Association football, football stadium in Warrenpoint, County Down, Northern Ireland. It is the home ground of Warrenpoint Town F.C., Warrenpoint Town of the NIFL Premier Intermediate League. The stadium sits in the larger Milltown Sports Complex, in the area of Warrenpoint of the same name. The ground was upgraded in 2013 after Warrenpoint were promoted to the Premiership, to satisfy the rules of that league. History In 2008, Warrenpoint Town applied to turn the pitch from natural grass into a 3G pitch, which was granted by the Newry and Mourne District Council. In 2013, Warrenpoint Town were promoted to the NIFL Premiership. Owing to previous consecutive promotions, Milltown did not meet the Irish Football Association's criteria for use in the Premiership. 2016-17 NIFL Championship
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA. Adam Evans
Adam George Evans (born 3 May 1994) is an Irish footballer who plays as a midfielder for NIFL Premiership side Warrenpoint Town. Career Born in Dublin, Evans joined the youth system of Burnley in 2010 on a two-year scholarship, having previously played for Irish side Belvedere. He was part of the youth team that reached the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup in 2012, eventually losing to rivals Blackburn Rovers. In May 2012, Evans signed a professional one-year contract following the completion of his scholarship. In September 2012, Evans joined Conference North side Droylsden on an initial one-month loan. He made his debut for the club in a 2–1 league defeat to Worcester City. Luke Keith Wade-Slater (born 2 March 1998) is an Irish footballer who plays for Drogheda United in the League of Ireland Premier Division. Club career Stevenage Wade-Slater joined Stevenage as an academy scholar in the summer of 2015, having previously played at Irish academy team St Kevin's Boys. Matthew John Tipton (born 29 June 1980) is a Welsh football manager and former professional player. He is currently the manager of NIFL Championship side Ards Club career Tipton started his career at Oldham Athletic moving up through the Youth ranks and making his debut aged just 17. Glentoran Football Club is a professional football club that plays in the NIFL Premiership. The club was founded in 1882. History Early history In 1914, Glentoran won the Vienna Cup, becoming the first United Kingdom team to win a European trophy, although as this competition took place several decades before the formation of UEFA, it is not recognised as such. 1960s George Best watched Glentoran with his grandfather as a youth, but was rejected by the club for being "too small and light".
