''Warpaint Live'' is a live album by American southern rock band The Black Crowes, released on April 28, 2009. This is the first Black Crowes live album since ''Freak 'n' Roll...Into the Fog: The Black Crowes All Join Hands, The Fillmore, San Francisco, Freak 'n' Roll'' in 2006 and it features live versions of the whole ''Warpaint (The Black Crowes album), Warpaint'' album. Recorded live on March 20, 2008 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA. The double CD precedes the release of the live concert DVD later in 2009. The Black Crowes
The Black Crowes are an American rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1984. Their discography includes eight studio albums, four live albums and several charting singles. The band was signed to Def American Recordings in 1989 by producer George Drakoulias and released their debut album, '' Shake Your Money Maker'', the following year. Their follow-up, '' The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion'', reached the top of the ''Billboard'' 200 in 1992. The albums ''Amorica'' (1994), ''Three Snakes and One Charm'' (1996), '' By Your Side'' (1999), and ''Lions'' (2001) followed, with each showing moderate popularity but failing to capture the chart successes of the band's first two albums. Leon Russell (born Claude Russell Bridges; April 2, 1942 – November 13, 2016) was an American musician and songwriter who was involved with numerous bestselling records during his 60-year career that spanned multiple genres, including rock and roll, country, gospel, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, southern rock, blues rock, folk, surf and the Tulsa Sound. ''Moby Grape'' is the 1967 debut album by rock band Moby Grape. Coming from the San Francisco scene, their reputation quickly grew to immense proportions, leading to a bidding war and a contract with Columbia Records. The album peaked at #24 on the ''Billboard'' 200 albums chart in September 1967. Production Production began on ''Moby Grape'' in Los Angeles in March 1967.Moby Grape. Don Stevenson (musician)
Don Stevenson (born October 15, 1941, Seattle, Washington) is the American drummer and a singer and songwriter for Moby Grape, a band which was formed in San Francisco in 1966 and continues to perform occasionally today. History Don Stevenson first obtained local recognition as a member of The Frantics, a band based in Seattle and including fellow Washingtonian Jerry Miller (from Tacoma) on guitar. The band relocated to San Francisco in 1966 and formed the nucleus of what became Moby Grape. Stevenson's position in Moby Grape is similar to, but predates that of Don Henley of The Eagles, in that Stevenson was a drummer and a principal songwriter and lead singer.
