Warnbro is a southern outer suburb of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, located on Warnbro Sound within the City of Rockingham. It adjoins Port Kennedy which combines residential with retail and light-industrial land use. The suburb, which is named after Warnbro Sound, was gazetted on 5 April 1974. The Vicinity Centres Warnbro Fair Shopping Centre includes Woolworths and Coles supermarkets together with a wide range of specialty retailers and fast-food outlets. The suburb has excellent sporting facilities including "Aqua Jetty", a multi-purpose recreation facility with Olympic-sized swimming pools and a large gymnasium. Secondary schools are the Warnbro Community High School which has about 1,600 students, and Living Waters Lutheran College, one of two Lutheran schools in Western Australia. Warnbro railway station is a commuter railway station in Warnbro, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Mandurah line, which is part of the Transperth commuter rail network, and is located immediately south-east of the interchange of Safety Bay Road and Ennis Avenue. It has two side platforms, linked by a pedestrian overpass accessed by stairs, a lift, and escalators. Services run every 10 minutes during peak, and every 15 minutes between peak. Warnbro Community High School is a public co-educational high day school, located in Warnbro, south of Perth, Western Australia. History The school was established in 1995 in a cluster of demountable buildings at Rockingham Senior High School while the first stage of construction worth $13.5 million was commenced. This stage was completed in 1995 and included general classrooms, science laboratories, a library, a sports hall and technology and enterprise facilities. Warnbro is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Western Australia. The district is located in the outer south-western suburbs of Perth. Politically, Warnbro is a safe Labor seat. At its creation, the district was calculated to have a Labor Party majority of 61.2% to 38.8% versus the Liberal Party.
