Wang Yi (footballer)
Wang Yi (; born 22 August 1990 in Dalian) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for China League One side Nanjing City. Club career In 2008, Wang Yi started his professional footballer career with Chengdu Tiancheng in the Chinese Super League. To gain some playing time he was loaned out to the clubs satellite team, Sheffield United HK where he made his debut in a league game against Convoy Sun Hei on 10 September 2008 in a 0-0 draw. On his return he would be promoted to the clubs first choice goalkeeper by the new Head coach Lawrie McKinna half way through the 2011 Chinese Super League season to help the club avoid relegation. Wang would make his league debut for Chengdu on 13 August 2011 in a league game against Tianjin Teda that ended in a 1-1 draw. While there was an upswing in results, Wang was still unable help the club avoid relegation at the end season. Wuhan Zall
Wuhan Yangtze River Football Club, formerly Wuhan Zall Football Club (), is a professional Chinese football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team is based in Wuhan, Hubei and their home stadium is the Dongxihu Sports Centre that has a seating capacity of 30,000. Their current majority shareholder is the investment company Wuhan Zall Development Holding Co. Ltd. The club was founded in 2009 after the withdrawal and then dissolution of its predecessor Wuhan Optics Valley from the league after the club had a dispute with the Chinese Football Association over their on-field behaviour. Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield
The Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield (), known commonly as the Senior Shield, is the football knockout inter-club competition held in Hong Kong and the fourth oldest football tournament in Asia. Traditionally, only the teams in the Hong Kong Premier League are entered into the competition. However, on occasion teams in lower divisions, usually the champions of the Junior Shield, are invited in order to increase the number of participating teams. The Hong Kong First Division League () is the second-highest division in the Hong Kong football league system. Established in 1908, it is the third oldest in Asia. The league was formerly the highest division in Hong Kong until the formation of the Hong Kong Premier League in 2014. Since 1908, a total of 29 clubs have been crowned champions of the Hong Kong football system. South China are the most successful club, having won 41 times since their first participation in 1941. The 2010 China League One is the seventh season since the establishment. Teams After 2009 season, Liaoning Whowin and Nanchang Bayi Hengyuan were promoted to Chinese Super League 2010 and Sichuan F.C. were relegated to China League Two 2010. 2009 Chinese Super League
The 2009 Chinese Super League season was the sixth season since the establishment of the Chinese Super League, the sixteenth season of a professional football league and the 48th top-tier league season in China. Beijing Guoan won their first ever Chinese Super League title. The events during the 2008 season saw Liaoning relegated and Wuhan withdrawn.
