Wandlitz
Wandlitz is a municipality in the district of Barnim, in Brandenburg, Germany. It is situated 25 km north of Berlin, and 15 km east of Oranienburg. The municipality was established in 2004 by merger of the nine villages ''Basdorf'', '' Klosterfelde'', ''Lanke'', '' Prenden'', '' Schönerlinde'', ', ', ''Wandlitz'' and '' Zerpenschleuse''. The communal government of the Great municipality has its seat in Wandlitz directly. It consists of deputies from the several parts of the commune and in accordance with the election results of the existing parties here. Demography The post-war influx of refugees from eastern regions led to a rise in the population. The population growth stagnated during the communist era. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the population began a rising tendency again. Barnim Panorama
The Barnim Panorama, owned by the municipality Wandlitz, was created in September 2013 by combining the Agrarmuseum Wandlitz and the visitor center of the Barnim Nature Park. It has the largest agricultural collection in Brandenburg and offers six themed rooms to give visitors an insight into the 200-year-old history of agriculture in Brandenburg. The museum in the quarter Wandlitz was built in 1955 and could only use provisional arrangements until 2013. Because of the growing demand for more exhibition space and better opportunities to present its collection, the quarter decided to construct a new building across the street from the original museum. Annelie Grund
Annelie Grund (born 28 June 1953, Berlin) is a German artist, stained glass artist, artist and musician. She lives in Wandlitz and is married to the architect Manfred Thon. Biography 1976 she acquired the diploma at the Humboldt University of Berlin in the subjects of art, painting and German language and literature studies. 1983 she got the master craftsman's diploma as stained-glass artist. Since 1979 she is a freelance artist and stained-glass artist in her own studio and workshop. Music Since her childhood she practices overtone singing. She received lessons by the choir director Christian Bollmann in Düsseldorf and for a long time took part in the Berlin Didgeridoo-Orchestra. She performed music in the DUO Bernstein (1996–2001). Bogensee
Bogensee is a small lake near Wandlitz in the German state of Brandenburg, located about north of the Berlin city limits. The oval-shaped lake, a relic of the last ice age, is located on the Barnim Plateau and part of the Barnim Nature Park. It covers an area of approximately , and is in width (west to east) and in length (south to north). The maximum depth is given as . The surrounding estates of Lanke manor were acquired by the City of Berlin in 1919. There are no buildings, paths or beaches directly on the banks of the lake. Trzebiatów
Trzebiatów (pronounced ; ; formerly german: Treptow an der Rega) is a town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, with 10,119 inhabitants (2016). Trzebiatów is located on the Rega River in the north-western part of Poland, roughly 9 kilometers south of the Baltic coast. Trzebiatów obtained town rights in 1277 under Pomeranian rulers who had invited German settlers to populate the area. It was part of the Duchy of Pomerania within the Holy Roman Empire. In 1416, the town became part of the Hanseatic League, then served as an important trade post and developed architecturally, with a typical Brick Gothic-style influence. Barnim
Barnim () is a district in Brandenburg, Germany. It is bounded by (from the east and clockwise) Poland, the district of Märkisch-Oderland, the city state of Berlin and the districts of Oberhavel and Uckermark. History The name "Barnim" emerged in the 13th century and was applied to a large forest region east of the Havel and north of the Spree on the homonymous plateau, where noblemen used to hunt. The present district is roughly identical with, but somewhat smaller than this historical region. The district was established in 1993 by merging the former districts of Bernau and Eberswalde. Geography Barnim extends from the Oder River to the outskirts of Berlin. The Oder River forms the eastern border. Schwechat
Schwechat () is a town southeast of Vienna known for the Vienna International Airport and Schwechater beer. The city is home to the refineries of the Austrian national oil company OMV. Gladbeck () is a town in the district of Recklinghausen in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Gladbeck is quite a young town, first recognised 21 July 1919 when it was given town rights.
