Wandering Fires
''Wandering Fires'' is a 1925 American silent drama film produced and directed by Maurice Campbell and stars Constance Bennett. It was distributed in the United States by Arrow Film Corporation and in the United Kingdom by Film Booking Offices of America. Campbell's wife, stage star Henrietta Crosman, appears in the film. Plot As described in a film magazine review, a young woman who is the victim of a scandalous tale involving her lover, who is believed killed in France during the World War, is loved by another young man who, knowing the tale, still urges her to marry him. After they are married, the husband becomes jealous of the lost lover, who one day turns up with an arm gone and his mind a blank from shell shock. His mental balance is restored, however, and he absolves his former sweetheart of any wrongdoing. Thereafter, the husband and wife are happy again. George Hackathorne
George Hackathorne (February 13, 1896 – June 25, 1940) was an American actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than 50 films between 1916 and 1939. Hackathorne was born and educated in Pendleton, Oregon. Despite his mother's wishes that he get a college education, he chose to be an actor. He began his career as a child actor in stock theater, after which he performed in vaudeville. He and his brother had a dramatic act that toured the United States. On June 25, 1940, Hackathorne died in Hollywood, California, at age 44. He was buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Wallace Archibald MacDonald (5 May 1891 – 30 October 1978) was a Canadian silent film actor and film producer. Biography MacDonald was born in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia, Canada, and attended school in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He started as a messenger boy with the Dominion Steel Company in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He later worked up to teller with the Royal Bank branch in Sydney before the bank transferred him to Vancouver, British Columbia. From there, he moved to California, where he acted on the stage before making inroads into Hollywood. MacDonald started as an actor in films in 1914 and starred in almost 120 motion pictures between then and 1932.
