	Walter West (director) Walter Alabaster West (9 November 1885 – 3 July 1958) was an English people, English film director and Film producer, producer. He was a partner in the film production company Broadwest Films. Early life Walter West was born in Cookham, Berkshire on 11 September 1885. His early silent films, some of which are in the collection of the BFI National Archive, include ''The Merchant of Venice'' (1915). He owned extensive film studios, one of the largest being the glass studios at Walthamstow, London, purchased from Cunard Films. With George Broadbridge (later Lord Broadbridge), he formed the Broadwest Films Company. Films made by Broadwest were not only shown in the UK but exported internationally, including India, New Zealand, Scandinavia and the US. 	Walter West (politician) Walter Williams West (12 April 1861 – 5 September 1934) was an Australian politician. He was a Nationalist Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly for Gippsland South from 1922 until 1927, when he was defeated at the state election by the independent Henry Bodman. 	Walter West (comics) Wallace Rudolph "Wally" West is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics as the original Kid Flash and the third Flash (DC Comics character), Flash. His power consists mainly of speedster (fiction), superhuman speed. The nephew of Iris West, he first appeared in ''Flash'' #110 (1959), which depicted his transformation into Kid Flash. Under the mantle of Kid Flash, Wally was depicted as a teenage sidekick to his uncle-by-marriage, Flash (Barry Allen), Barry Allen, and a founding member of the Teen Titans.
