Walter Viitala
Walter Viitala (born 9 January 1992) is a Finnish footballer who plays as goalkeeper for Inter Turku. Club career On 15 December 2016, Viitala signed a 2.5-year contract with Viborg FF on a free transfer from IFK Mariehamn. He made his debut in a 1–0 victory against AaB on 8 April 2017. On 11 August 2018 Viitala signed for Swedish champions Malmö FF. He signed a short-term contract for the rest of the year to replace injured back-up goalkeeper Fredrik Andersson. He made his first appearance for Malmö FF on 23 September 2018, when he replaced an injured Johan Dahlin at halftime in a 4–0 victory over Kalmar FF. He made his first start a week later in a 0–0 draw against GIF Sundsvall. On 2 December 2021, he joined Inter Turku on a two-year contract. Veikkausliiga (; sv, Tipsligan) is the premier division of Finnish football, the highest tier of the Finnish football league structure, comprising the top 12 clubs of the country. Its main sponsor is the Finnish national betting agency Veikkaus, hence the league's name. Veikkausliiga was founded in 1990; before that the top division was called ''Mestaruussarja'' (championship series) since 1930 which was an amateur or semi-professional league. The 2012 Kakkonen season began on 18 April and ended on 6 October 2012. Teams A total of 40 teams contested the league divided into four groups, Eteläinen (Southern), Pohjoinen (Northern), Läntinen (Western) and Itäinen (Eastern). 30 returned from the 2011 season, three relegated from Ykkönen and seven promoted from Kolmonen. The champion of each group qualified to promotion matches to decide which two teams get promoted to the Ykkönen. The bottom two teams in each group and the worst eight-placed qualified directly for relegation to Kolmonen. ''Ykkönen'' (Finnish for 'Number One'; sv, Ettan) is the second highest level of the Finnish football league system (after the Veikkausliiga), although it is the highest league managed by the Football Association of Finland. Johan Dahlin (born 8 September 1986) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Malmö FF. Club career FC Lyn Dahlin was born in Trollhättan. He began his senior career at Åsebro IF in 2004. After one season with the Swedish Division 3 side, he was invited to Oslo to train with Lyn and was subsequently signed until the end of the 2009 season. Fredrik Andersson (born 25 October 1988) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Varbergs BoIS. Club career Andersson started his senior career at his youth club Skene IF. After just one season with the senior team he moved to Division 1 club Örgryte IS. He served as a back-up for three seasons before he became a regular starter in 2014. After an impressive year-and-a-half as the first choice goalkeeper he was signed by reigning Swedish Champions Malmö FF on 27 July 2015. On 26 October 2016 Andersson made his first team debut for Malmö FF when he replaced an injured Johan Wiland with 13 minutes to go of the title decider against Falkenbergs FF.
